I think the President made his position known when he made the comment that one should err on the side of life. :)

President Bush is knowledgeable enough that I believe he knows that if he inserted himself forcefully, that he will find himself in an impeachable position. This poll mentioned on FOX suggests that if he were to overexert his authority, he will find himself in the minority view.

I believe God is counselling him quite well thus far.

You're probably right about that.

Better for people to be angry at the Republicans in Congress than at the president, imo.
