And a murderer!

I guess I shall have to go to jail with you (which I couldn't understand WHY you had to go, but, hey, truth and/or sense doesn't seem to be required on this thread!)

I hope you will suffer my humor.

The first "Hillbilly Belter" was great, great, great Grandpa. He spread the idea that this Bible adherence that has pervaded society cuts into his freedom. "We don't need nobody to rule over our affairs".

Grandpa, who did things his way, passed on a legacy of Libertarian orientation. Whenever the topic of societal morals comes up the "Hillbilly Belter" pounces to denounce any set formula of values. The HB will be found to support choice no matter the consequence. Be it abortion, drugs, homosexuality, divorce, child rearing, schooling...

HB's mentality is based on a desire for government to stay out of their personal affairs birthed by people who want to be able to marry their first cousin, and also have the government stay out of their business birthed by people that want to make unmonitored money selling moonshine.

The "Hillbilly Belt" caters to those who have rejected Biblical morals, but don't want handouts from the government so that they can continue their behavior unmonitored by outsiders. This mindset produces a desire to be an isolationist and fosters issues with authority.

Contradictions abound because the HB is Fiscally conservative, while being Socially liberal. We might call them all Hillbilly ConservaLiberals. They are not red, they are not blue, it's more of a purple.
