Fankly, I'm tired of Mexicans claiming southwestern and western U.S.
They only owned it for 30 years. And they (Mexicans) were not in charge. It was the Spanish left overs that ruled.
When Fremont came to S.F., there were few to notice. When he visited Montery, Ca. there were approx 1200. When he chased these few to L.A. there still no more and 2,400.
They have no claim, except usurpation. That is what they know.
And these self righteous Mexican will deny rights of the Miwoks and Ohlone, the Hoopa, the Round Mountain and others (over 40/50 different tribes). The mexicans were not here. Others were. But they were mostly stone age peoples. Not much different from the cannibal, liver eaters in the south.
