A real temporary guest worker plan --- while we give the Mexican government a chance to shape up or ship out, that would allow seasonal workers to be flown or bussed in ---- round trip and expenses paid by the employer who claims to need them so much. Family and friends and the rest of the village remain home, the "guest stay" would be for no more than 3 or 4 months --- the harvest season for example and the guest would be returned home.
I thought we already had a guest worker program, for *legal* immigrants? Why can't we just stick to that, expand it if necessary?
