Huh, a hundred years ago people in the US were basically saying the same thing. Back then it was Dublin, Naples, and Warsaw.
The more things change the more they stay the same.
Even if there were immigrant enclaves caused by the Great Wave in 1925 mass immigration was cutoff. That Act greatly encouraged and speeded up the assimilation process. Today there appears to be no end in sight and illegal immigration isn't helping matters.
Am not that old...just my observations. Those you mentioned were legal immigrants...if you are fan of the current situation, are you working to change current immigration laws to allow this level of inflow?
