The "Social Security is going broke" argument is the one we've been hearing lately from those who support open borders. In reality it's nothing but a ponzi scheme. You can keep bringing in people to prop it up but what do you do when they retire? Import millions more to support them? We might as well throw open our borders using that logic.

Combining the populations of two countries and putting them under our one plan because the Mexico's plan is in terrible shape --- worse off than ours --- makes no sense at all.

End abortions and privatize Social Security.

Amazingly enough, two of President Bush's stated initiatives.

Meanwhile, his third stated initiative pertinent to this discussion, a working guest worker program, would roll US policy back to the 1960's Bracero program, back to the existing policy before there was an illegal alien problem in the US.

But according to "conservatives"...Bush is the problem.
