since Nate Forrest's cavalry forces were about 20% free blacks, how can you make such as SILLY & UNtruthful statements. you KNOW better. I know some of Forrest's own slaves (about 44 in number) served under his command but the 20% number seems awfully high. Where did you come by that number?

these are HIS figures, based on the veteran's service records on file at the US Archives.
his monograph is to be published within 6 months. i'm NOT prepared to further identify him OR give you more data at this time,on this forum & w/o his consent.

should you want to read more than most people WANT to, head to New Orleans, LA & check out the AFRICAN-AMERICAN MUSEUM.
there is LOTS of original documentation on dixie's NON-white hero-martyrs on public display!
