No....they hang traitors to their home, and state.

So howcum they tried and executed John Brown for treason to Virginia? He had never ever lived in the state.

Your first loyalty should be to your STATE, then so on....

A stand not supported by some of the better men in our nation's history, thank God.

John Brown committed Treason against Virginia by formenting REBELLION and slave uprisings....and was hanged like he deserved.
And he was a COLD-BLOODED MURDERER. Not a good example. And I think Robert E. Lee is one of MANY good men that gave their allegiance to their state first.
