Byrd is the only KKK member I ever met (that I knew anything about).

LOL -- you ain't never bin to a gun show?!

'Bout every fourth or fifth one, someone from the Klan shows up and rents a table, hangs up the Klan flag, and sets out a big tray of knives and badges with their emblems on them.

Usually a pretty quiet table.

Never been to a gun show, though I have a nice set of 1873 45-70s.

In the late 1950s I saw a single car with KKK markings on it and a bunch of guys in it once on West Broad Street in Savannah. That was a dangerous street for the Klan to be on (mostly black). Oh, and I almost forgot, a white guy who lived in an apartment above me in Atlanta had his car window shot out in Florida probably by the Klan -- he worked for Martin Luther King. Those are the only two occasions I saw anything related to the Klan, other than Robert Byrd.
