Jurors turn focus to Scott Peterson's fishing boat
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. Jurors in Scott Peterson's capital murder trial want to see the boat the fertilizer salesman allegedly used to dump his wife's body in the San Francisco Bay, according to two sources close to the case.
The panel wrote a note to Judge Alfred Delucchi Friday requesting an inspection of the 14-foot aluminum Gamefisher Peterson took out on the bay Dec. 24, 2002, the day he reported his wife, Laci, missing.
The sources confirmed to Court TV that the boat will be brought to the courthouse and jurors will see it Monday.
The request to see the boat came as the panel completed a third day of deliberations without reaching a verdict. The six men and six women have weighed evidence for nearly 19 hours. They will spend the weekend sequestered at a hotel, but they are not permitted to discuss the case until they return to the jury room at about 8 a.m. Monday.
Story continues ........
They are spinning it and Nancy Grace is putting it in prospective. Says #7 was for the defense and the fact that Geragos is smiling is because he knows the media is watching. In New York, they do not replace a juror during deliberations but call for a mistrial. Me thinks Geragos wishes he were trying this in NY.
Being a California jury, who knows. I don't think the judge should have seated her since evidently she stated at the outset she would not be moved (not sure if she framed this as "if she made up her mind during the trial" or if she indicated she was leaning to innocence from the outset).
Don't know what the regulars think of this judge, but it has made me form a very low opinion of him for ignoring her assertions.
Well, a nice break from politics, and I pray justice is served eventually.
no kidding pinz!! She was obviously a STEALTH juror. Don't underestimate Strawberry. Howard Varinsky gave some of her history the other night. He said she married a guy when she was a teen and wild. He later went on to murder another man but he was himself killed in prison. He says she's a very stable woman now. At least I think that's the way her history goes.
LOL Star
When the bodies showed up in the bay, the case was closed as far as I was concerned. Guilty as charged.
Same here.
Didja hear Juror #7 was removed? Lucky dog... their nightmare has ended.
Kimberly is married to Gavin Newsome, the San Francisco mayor who decided that gay marriage was an okey-dokey ritual for City Hall.
And, no, I'm not cyncooper, but we sometimes share a brain.
pinz you know why Peterson's were hanging around? This is part of the GAGAMOUSE SPIN!! So is the SMILING SNOT!!

I'm hearing something similar about #7 on CourtTV so good riddance. I believe Nancy Grace thought there might have been a problem with #7 but JoEllen D slapped her down saying everyone is looking at #7 but it might be #11. BTW who is Justin's pal -- #6?
But I think Kimberly is beautiful...

OMG......that's him? PEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
tHE MAYOR OF SAN FRANSCICO!! Howlin, the guy who wants all the gays to get married and handed out thousands of licences. He's good looking but he's a DEFINITE ULTRA Liberal!!
Constitution Day and I cope by posting silly pictures to the beginning of the threads.
"Helps me to see how the wheels of Justice spin."
OK. Thanks for the insight. I hope this case is not indicative of the normal murder case, however.
I think Dan Abrams has a crush on Kimberly. He used to give her "the look" when she would appear on MSNBC.
Is he the Mayor that the democrats-with-blinders-on blame for Kerry's defeat?
sw
I'll tell you what. A beautiful young mother with her almost born son was brutally murdered by her pathological SOCIOPATH husand. There is nothing feeble about wanting to see Justice done for her and her unborn child. Your smart remarks are really offensive!!
