Hey - ever thought of maybe that by OBEYING the law in the first place your football player would still be alive?? Thank goodness he didn't take any innocent lives with him when he went. There are consequences to the choices we make. SOme more evident than others. The responsibility is firmly on the shoulders of the criminal. Yes - he committed a crime.

I agree, if the guy hadn't run, he wouldn't have died.
What else anyone says, on whoever else anyone places blame is merely trying to shift the blame from the criminal and is making an excuse for poor behavior and poor choices.
Trying to make a martyr out of a criminal doesn't fly with me.
