To put a guard post with two guards 24/7 every quarter mile.. ..would be kind of stupid. A better idea would be to use cameras, surveillance UAVs. And then post guys with humvees and helicopters every fifty miles or so. It would a lot cheaper.
I'm talking about remote areas, not Wyandotte, Michigan where you live.
Run the numbers on that. Get back to us.

Black Hawk unit cost: $10,100,000. Fuel efficiency: 0.69 MPG. Cost per hour: $1285.82, not including crew.
