You never watched the show? They had a recurring skit where some of the regulars would sit on a broken-down porch, wearing ratty clothes, accompanied by the saddes houn'-dog you ever did see, and sing:

"Gloom, despair and agony on me
Deep dark depression, excessive misery
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
Gloom, despair, and agony on me!"

Then they'd piss and moan about something, and repeat the chorus. It was one of my favourite parts of the show.

That's what you folks remind me of, sometimes.
