"If you feel this way, why do you bother trying to get official approval from the "fascist" state?"

English 101: not the "state"(as you spin), but certain "dictates"(as I wrote) are fascist in nature. Namely, herbal prohibition, which is falsely puritanical, in that, the methodology for curbing the so-called perpetrators illicit appetites simply sows the seeds of discord. It is not approval which I seek, but such peace for our nation and its people as might be found in the cessation of hostility toward flower possessors, propagotors and protectors.

"If they are without authority in this matter, and God is on your side the discussion is moot. Paul might disagree with you (see Romans 13)"

Don’t fall prey to puritanical punditry extending interpretations of Romans 13 falsely so as to force Christians to be loyal subjects of fascist dictators like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, or Hussein...

Romans 13:1

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.

For there is no power but of God:

the powers that be are ordained of God.

Are our federal or state 'powers that be' ordained by God if by definition they are separated from the Church? Are they ordained by God as they willfully violate the Constitution which they are sworn to uphold by waging war upon their own citizenry, stealing their property and imprisoning them for the possession of a flower gifted from the Garden of God?

Bear in mind this sacred principle, that

though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail,

that will to be rightful must be reasonable;

that the minority possess their equal rights,

which equal law must protect,

and to violate would be oppression."

--Thomas Jefferson

"As for my seeming fascist enchantment, these discussions are the extent of my activity in the so-called War on Drugs. I'm not up at nights working complots of woe for pot smokers (or anyone else)."

It should be a duty for freedom loving Republicans to prevent government from imposing upon individuals, through force and coercion, arbitrary puritanical beliefs that are contrary to established religious facts, beliefs and scripture. Only in this way can we assure the freedom of religion envisioned in this nations’ founding.

"... stealing their property and imprisoning them for the possession of a flower gifted from the Garden of God?"

You still haven't dealt with the Fall of man and its effect on creation. After Adam and Eve sinned, many things that were once good became tainted and contorted by the sin nature. I don't claim to be able to sort that problem out, but your pre-Fall reverie of flowers and herbs is misleading.
