Thanks for standing up. It is difficult in light of the hostile, belligerent bullying that one is subjected to if one makes such a comment on a thread where obscene graphics and languages are being used.
I think that poster picture is in poor taste.At the same time, I think the "Belly Girl" poster telling France to "Shut the F--k Up" is an excellant way to get the point accross. For me it isn't the langauge so much as the depiction of Uncle Sam as a crude man, something that in my mind, he's not.
I do not use profanity - ever - nor do most of my friends. None of us would ever give anyone the finger.
I am often confronted with a situation where I would really like to send them articles from FR, but some folks with no concern about other folk's sensitivity put, IMHO, profanity laced comments or racial comments into their replies. That makes it hard for me to send articles that I consider worthwhile.
I am not censoring anyone. Others are free to do as they wish, but it would be nice if folks would try to realize that other people are not all potty mouths. No offense intended, but if the shoe fits...
