Asa Hutchinson on John and Ken, KFI640 (Live Thread)
The John and Ken Show (KFI 64.0, Los Angeles) | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/08/2004 4:08:45 PM PDT by truthkeeper

After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

Seriously Dane, introducing AIDS infection rates onto an Immigration thread?

Please review the link I gave you earlier about Non Sequitur.

You may see this as a Mexican issue, and some posters here may be framing that issue in that way, but we have illegal immigrants of many nationalities here, all of whom should be deported if guilty.

We have many Asian and Indian nationalities with family members overstaying their visas. We have eastern Europeans doing the same. I'm all for those persons to be deported as well in compliance with the law.

You rarely address the actual topic of this thread and have been repeatedly throwing out irrelevant posts to follow. Now take a position on the issue and spell it out with some logic?

A review of some of your postings:

-You suggest that a post critical of the administration that doesn't include criticisms of democrats of your selection is without merit. You have been repeatedly asking this.

-You have had a post deleted by a moderator and have accused fellow FR members of being members of a White Supremacist group. As an ironic illustration of your judgement skills, the FR member of whom you suggest this isn't even white.

-Now you've modified your concern to 'why dont' you care about AIDS infection rates in L.A.?' This is really borderline trolling. It reminds me of the recent Michael Moore editorial saying 'how can we be patriotic when 3 Billion people don't have clean water!'

What's next? Unless I have actually deported an illegal immigrant myself I'm unworthy to comment?

I recommend you start your own thread with your own topic since you seem not to want to discuss immigration policy in California, which is the topic of this thread.

You seem concerned with 'selective outrage'

How do you meet your own standard for 'non-selective outrage.' All I've seen from you on this thread is outrage against posters who support immigration law enforcement and outrage against select democrat lawmakers, and concern over AIDS infection rates.

Other than that, I haven't heard any outrage from you about, say, the genocide in Sudan. (As valid a concern on this immigration thread as your concern with AIDS infection rates)

Somehow it doesn't seem your standards for 'non-selective outrage' can be met, even by you.

Have you ever read a book or taken a class in logic? The way you threw around the term Non Sequitur before issuing the self-refuting concern in the post to which I'm replying, maybe you have. But none of it sank in.

This website stands for combatting liberalism and reversing our century long downhill slide into the pits of socialist hell. It does not stand for helping to elect more Democrats. We're at a crossroads here. For one of the very rare times in our history, the Republicans are holding the White House and the Congress. It's an historic opportunity seeing as how we will probably see some turnover in the Supreme Court in the next decade or so. Why would any conservative in his right mind want take the path that allows the liberals to make those appointments?

Much to your dismay, the presidential election involves people who live in States other than California.

Show me a national poll, not a poll conducted by an organization whose cause is illegal immigration BTW, that registers the issue anywhere near the war in Iraq, the economy, health care, or education, or that registers at double digits with the AMERICAN public at large.

These people had the opportunity to elect a red meat conservative in McClintock...they did not.

They voted for The Terminator.

McClintock's support was less than Bustamante's.

My point.

The reason why Davis was booted out of office, and the reason why Arnold was elected are not even closely related.

As an aside, the same people who voted for Prop 187, and threw Davis out of office, have elected a strong majority liberal Congressional delegation.

Bipolar...

What does McClintock have to do with the White House shutting down Free Speech in LA?

The illegal alien issue is created by the left so that the Buchanan right defects from the GOP.

As I've stated, I intend to vote for President Bush. However I don't think disagreeing with a select few of his administrations actions is incoherent or disloyal.

You stated immigration wasn't a 'bleep on the radar.' That's the only critera you gave me and I showed examples where it was MORE than a bleep here in CA.

Silly me, this thread was about a local talk show here in Southern California, and an interview about a series of enforcement actions being discontinued in Southern California -- I should have somehow inferred from your post that you meant a _nationwide_ poll in order to be a "bleep on the radar."

So it appears at least you'd concede my intended point (although it apparently didn't meet your previously unstated National poll standard) that immigration issues are MORE than a blip on the radar here in California.

As for national relevance, you're surely right, especially if you want the issue to be on par with the War in Iraq.

I just about blew milk out my nose after reading this:

Police Say They Have Identified Groper A Harvard custodian who was arrested and charged with two assaults told police he had groped about..........

I read it as the guy's name was Groper A Harvard, custodian.

Oh man.....I need a break.

I reply:
Do you actually believe this? What evidence can you share with us to prove your claim.

FWIW, I have never voted for Buchanan, I do not watch his show, and am not fond of his stand on a large number of issues.

You're talking about my response to the comment you made about me, behind my back, for what I had said to Dane in my post #629?

No, I didn't forget that you're a back-biter.

If you have something to say about someone, be man enough to say it to their face. Ping them to your comment.

Otherwise send your buddy Dane a private FReepmail.

That's just good FReeper etiquette.

But can the phoney outrage over being caught in your sneak attack. Like I was intruding on your private conversation as opposed to just setting the record straight in my own defense.

Nobody's fooled. ;^)

I'm thinkin' I've got a pretty good chance of slipping across that border. Then all I'll need is a Matricula Consular and it'll be smooth sailing from there. Adios Iraq, Hola Los Estados Unidos.
