After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

Your clueless
And that's exactly where you went wrong.
George W. Bush told you exactly what he believed in, and detailed what he would do while in office. THAT'S the benchmark you need to use to cast your vote. You want to send leaders to Washington to follow?

As far as putting soldiers on the border, shoot to kill.
Luis, you know that can be extended to the people who do not like to hear any criticism of the Bush Administration as well. For many of them, the first line of defense is to scream, "Buchanan supporter".

Are you saying that Davis was recalled because Arnold is an action movie star? That offering drivers licenses to illegals had nothing to do with it?
By the way, I've never used "Buchanan supporter", I'm partial to "pitchforker" myself.
:-)
No Dio, I didn't say that at all; address what I said, not what you say I said.
I'm discussing why Arnold won, not why Davis was recalled.

Illegal Alien Sex Predator Will Be Set Free in Mexico

Glendale's is located on San Fernando Blvd. and run by Catholic Charities or something like that.
Burbank extorted $87,000 a year from Home Depot to allow them to put the illegal immigrant lounge in to prevent the day laborers from congregating on the street. They had over 100 speakers against it, but they still approved it because they are trying to build their way out of their budget hole (i.e. refuse to cut positions)
Of course, the $87,000 was obstensibly to pay for a police officer during the day to monitor the whole situation, but I don't buy that for a second. Also interesting to note there are no day laborers hanging out at the Lowe's on Empire...
Luis,
Earlier in this thread, you stated that Immigration Issues were not even an "electoral bleep" I provided you counter-examples which you've not addressed. Care to?
---RE-POST---
So the CA's passing of Proposition 187 several years ago doesn't even count for a 'blip on the radar?" This proposition restricted state services for persons who entered the state illegally. It has been held up and nullified through various court cases, but this was more than a 'blip' on the radar.
How about the recent proposition which passed requiring English Immersion in the schools, resulting in a shift away from bilingual education? Was that not a blip? Was that not unrelated to illegal immigration?
How about the role the "illegal immigrant driver's license bill" had here in the recall of Governor Davis and the protests and petitions last year on both sides of this issue?
Are none of these a "bleep on the radar?"
Luis:Would these be the same people who elected Gray Davis, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, etc?
Dio: Luis, they are the same people who recalled Davis and elected a Republican Gov.
Luis: And that was done over issues that had nothing to do with illegal immigrants, and a whole lot to do with The Terminator I, II, and III.
So, I don't seem to see where I am contorting your position. You said that Davis was recalled and a republican was elected "over issues that had nothing to do with illegal immigrants" but rather Arnold's action movies.
My original point was not why Arnold won, but that the people who elect Feinstein and Boxer are the same ones who wanted Davis out of office. And they didn't want Davis out of office so that they could have a movie star instead, but because he stepped way over the line offering licenses to illegals. Hence it is an important issue or Gray Davis would still be the Gov.
I suspect it has less to do with ensuring that people on the road know how to operate a vehicle (assuming they would be required to even take a test) and more with sliding down a slope that legitimizes law breakers and suposedly curries favor with the leftist constituency.
