Look, Dane, if you want to pay for illegals, be my guest. Quit expecting everyone else to do it. Just because you don't think that contractors should have to hire legal citizens and pay them real wages and file taxes, doesn't mean that it is right.
Whatever they are doing to make a living, they are breaking the law. As are their employers.
Nationally, even if the rest of the nation doesn't care what happens here, we in California DO. So I gues that means the issue gets ignored?
The jobs are out there in your home state of California, but it seems that your fellow Californians are more happy to take the welfare benfits your Senators Feinstein and Boxer give out than take the jobs of cleaning toilets and putting roofs on.

And that was done over issues that had nothing to do with illegal immigrants, and a whole lot to do with The Terminator I, II, and III.

If you go back to my original post, and the post I was responding to, the statement was made that the American people were fed up with illegal immigrants.

HUH? The nail in Gumby's coffin was signing a law giving illegal aliens drivers licenses. That issue destroyed him.
He didn't help himself by wrecking the state along the way in his five years, expanding spending and government, much of it to accomodate illegal aliens while the state mugged municipalities to do it!
And as for the Terminator, quite a few voters I've talked to regret voting for him now that's he's open to giving licenses too, as long it's "done properly".
Let me know when sheriffs deputies and other law enforcement personnel from Florida are murdered by convicted and deported illegals who flee to Mexico.

They are just as dead and the American people need to be just as outraged, and their elected "leaders" ought not give thought to political considerations and Hispandering before seeking justice.

I'm surprised he didn't do exactly that.
During WWII, my greatgrandmother was almost deported because she was Canadian. Even though she was married to an American citizen with 5 kids and several grandkids at the time. My Grandmother remembers the Federal agents coming several times to the house and interviewing her Mother. They said it was routine and they were looking at all foreign born non-citizens.
By the way, you should also express outrage at a broken border and immigration system that allows previously convicted and deported illegal aliens BACK in to commit more crime.
