I haven't met any cowboys. All the men here are shorter than I am and no-speek-o Engles.

I've seen a few swaggerers with big belt buckles, but their jeans always had ironed-in creases and the boots they wore were all riding boots. Not a good crop to choose from...;o)

"no-speek-o Engles." Their English must be better in Texas than in NY. They add an "e" to every word beginning with "s". And that's the true (spoken with a Spanish accent).
