In Baltimore, particularly the Dundalk area of the city, the shopkeepers and waitresses are particularly friendly.
One is inundated with friendly inquiries:
"How did you like your food, Hon?"
"Will there be anything else, Hon?"
"Howdja like the city, Hon?"
You almost feel that it is some kind of set-up, and you're inclined to look around for a camera.
It can also be somewhat maddening. Better bring your axe.
