Well, teh shortest man in all of Field Artillery last I knew was Ekarath Lavarne.
He was 4'9".
He was scary as point man, quite as a mouse, and could sneak right through a perimeter before anyone knew he was there.
What was massively intimidating was during inspection once, a female Major was inspecting our barracks (Basic traibning, Fort Sill) and she stops in front of me and stands to her full height.
I ended up staring straight ahead.. right at her nametage and ribbons.
Her comment, "You're short soldier."
