SocomII is played on PS2 and can be played against others on the internet via a hookup with the PS2. My nephew plays against others on the internet, and I want to get there. But I want to "ace" all the ops first so I don't embarrass him.
Shallow for sure, but it's still fun and challenging...and only a few can do it. Especially folks from my generation...me at 53. But I'm figuring to give these youngsters a run for their money once I "ace" all the challenges.
By all means... go for it. Online gaming is a heck of a lot of fun. Wish I could get the spouse into it more, but computer games just aren't high on her list of Fun Things.
