"My copy of Red Storm Rising got destroyed by a friend"
Yah...I loaned mine out and that was the last I saw of it. I have a lot of books I want to get back...
Did that email come in OK?
I don't know how many times I've have to re-purchase coppies of "Hitchhiker's Guide." No one ever gives it back. :-(
Yes, and vaguely that reminds me of my Aunt on my father's side.
Kind face, warm smile, wicked sense of humor hiding behind the eyes.
(Even if I STILL bust on her for running me over -accidentally- with a flexible flyer sled back in 1984..)
Highest point near Bradner Ohio is 'Dead Man's Hill', and it's in a cemetary.
It's also THE only place to sled in winter.
Aunt Marla and I were on the sled, and we hit one of the flat tombstones with the sled.
Well.. I got ejected down the hill in front of the sled and she got my legs with the sled runners.
She still feels horrible about it, I find it vastly amusing that it happened.
"Tombstone! Eject eject eject!"
