I'd have at least put him off my boat before then, though.
If I felt charitable, I'd have paid him and sent him off before I lifted.
Naw... it is always a good idea to have at least one really big, stupid guy on your team. Zoe is a good fighter, as is Mal, but Jayne fills the niche. You don't throw out a tool cause it broke once. You just are a bit more careful about when you use the tool.
