In my book, he's the best...*don't tell him -- he may become arrogant!*

LOL! I won't tell him. But he does rank pretty high on my list too. ;-)

"Cahill is a great writer, who really brings the history of Western civilization into sharp relief.
Those books-including the two most recently published-are part of the Hinges of History."

And where can I find these books, pray, tell???

Have you checked out his books? They rank high with me, as well...besides which, they are food for thought...

Usually, if you can get it on Amazon.com, you can go to Borders, Barnes and Noble, or some of the other book stores and they can order it for you.

I'll wait till I get to Tucson, and will then let Bookman's do my work. I knew it when it was an embryo bookstore, and I recommend it to everyone I know...

Today, it has about seven stores in Arizona, and it is still growing....

I'd like to when I get a chance. I haven't read a book for fun in a couple of years. How many books does he have out? I know he has "Outlandish" (I did check to see if the university library or local library has it - and they don't.)

At the moment, he has "Outlandish" in print, and I think his sequel is soon to be available.

I read for relaxation and "Outlandish" kinda fills a need...

I wish I could read for relaxation. I read a lot, but it's mostly about icky stuff like accounting, taxes, political science ... you know, the stuff that puts people to sleep as soon as you open your mouth. ;-) So when I need to relax I'm usually laying unconcious in bed. LOL!

Speaking of laying in bed...I better go do that. It's getting late...

Alright, since I've been asked this question repeatedly and since I'm a very evasive person-who doesn't really like to answer questions-I've decided to finally post something on this subject.

Not actually explicating what my new screen name means, but simply listing all of the potential alternative handles that I rejected-for either practical or aesthetic reasons-before re-registering with FreeRepublic.

Starting with these ten:

1. Biz Marquee

2. Boisterous Brooklyn Bob Balaban

3. Who stole my sock?

4. Crazy Legz Nelson

5. Red Foxxy Brown

6. Kilian's Irish White

7. Myscreennameistoolong

8. You all hate me don't you?

9. Undecided Olaf

and finally,

10. FlackcatchingMauMauMaoist

Well thank goodness! Certainly clears up that little mystery.

Whatever will I do with all of these lit matches that I was prepared to hold to your feet until you came clean?

Confused as ever regards, SHAPKA BROHAM!!

The one thing that I didn't get was pumpkin pie. I really like pumpkin pie. I might have to buy one at the grocery so I can pick my lip up off the floor.

Are you saying Baynative's photo juxtaposition deserves a post by itself?
