What was the best thing that happened during George HW Bush's 2nd term as POTUS, in your opinion?

I believe that after 10 or so years of dem control things will be in shambles and the reps will have to listen to their base. Were you in a drug stupor for the until 2001?

Prove it. Show where in the original document it says that all black people are to become slaves.

Thanks for the post.
How many times in recent decades has a conservative primary challenger come this close to defeating a sitting RINO senator? I don't know of any.
The Toomey challenge was a clear signal that the age of the RINO will be over after this election cycle. 2008 will be a whole new ballgame.

We wouldn't see any action - that we would welcome - real or otherwise if the libs were back in control of the Senate again.
Brit Hume had a Republican consultant/pollster on last night. He said that the mushy middle we all fight over is no longer 20-30 percent but closer to 10%. (as an aside he would now consider a 5% win a landslide)
The point is, as the margin narrows, every warm body we can get to caucus with our side is more important than ever. It's going to take longer than we would like - but giving power back to the libs by staying home or voting for someone who has no chance makes no sense at all.
I know we are disillusioned with the lack of leadership etc. on our side in Congress. Just keep voting for our side and eventually all those with "FBI files" will die off. But if we give it back to the libs, they will rig it so that we never get rid of them - CFR with its incumbency protection is a good example of that.

No, we try to fix your stupid Party from within so that America can be restored...it's obvious there's too many like you to overcome maybe, but we still manage to counter the likes of you enough to drag it out another election.
Had you the opportunity, would you have voted for Toomey or Spectre? Would you have gone against the GOP machine and the "Compassionate Conservative" at the top in going against their man?

The document itself doesn't say anything about black people being slaves. Think about when it was written. Black people were the furthest 'things' from their minds when it was written.

"I am just disappionted with the direction the GOP has taken for the most part.
It is amazing how the 1/3 rule plays out in so many things.
Also how evenly the people are divided. The last election was a tie and I wonder how close things would have been in the two before that if Ross Perot had not been in the race."
I tooooooo am very disappointed with the fact that there are more liberals in PA and voted to keep that liberal Spector as their senator. However, I have decided that there is a "special" accounting for the likes of Spector/Clintons bunch. To me being conservative means being accountable for individual actions, and 51% of the voters that voted for Spector have varying degrees of accountability.
Now this also does include those that came out in support of Spector because that is the way things are done, but personally to sit out, or vote in a manner that gives power back to the lying crooked liberals brings me to account.

I'm guessing it's all about the judicial appointments and the power Specter possesses....can't be anything else. Hold your nose while you vote..:) Yes, but they do not have to appoint Specter to the judicial committee. It may be tradition in the Senate but anyone with spine could rightly say they are going to give it to a Republican and not just one in name only.
When do you press for what you believe? The Dems never seem to have a difficult time figuring it out. Look at how they have held up judicial nominations against all precedent.

Umm, you haven't heard of the Constitution and Libertarian Parties? Of course I have. Why aren't you on THEIR forum posting this crap?

You need to face the fact that the GOP is what it is; you people had control of it years ago and drove us into the ground.
This country is more moderate now; there are very few of you "slash and burners" left (thank God); the rest of us are PRAGMATIC and would rather work WITH THE POWER than sit around and bitch and moan.

If you keep asking me to explain my reasoning, it might just start to sound good to me and hold on until November. Better to just give me a sympathetic pat on the back and let it all blow over. It is now April. There is plenty of time to be logical between now and November. Right now, I just want to be pi$$ed.Now that sounds like a very good response. That is an honest response. I understand.

You're basically just PO'd because nobody agrees with you. That's what it comes down to.
This is a REPUBLIC; and the way we hold elections is that the man who gets the most votes win.
If you don't like George Bush 43, go find another party; this one is running him in 2004.

Thank you for the wonderful response. You have a very kind way of correcting those whom you do not agree with.
If memory serves me correct (sometimes I am able to see through the drug induced fog) The people got tired of dems and we won the house and senate around 94.
By the way what kind of a statement is "Were you in a drug stupor for the untill 2001". It makes no sense. Slow down, take a deep breath and begin your attacks again.
