do i have to EMBARASS you AGAIN, by pointing out that the so-called "declarations" were the work of a FEW SELF-appointed slaveowners, rather than of the government of ANY southern state.

NOBODY but slaveOWNERS cared a damn about slavery, by 1861.

slavery was DYING a un-lamented natural death!

TWBTS was about just ONE MAJOR cause(depending on which side you were on):

1.FREEDOM for dixie OR

2.Preservation of the union.

at best, chattal slavery was a SIDE ISSUE.

Your fellow neoconfederates here have spent a good part of a thousand posts telling me it wasn't slaveowners that pushed secession and they weren't self-appointed. ROFL! I think you guys need to huddle and get your story straight.

...rather than of the government of ANY southern state. NOBODY but slaveOWNERS cared a damn about slavery, by 1861.

Slaveowners had the money and power to push secession for slavery. That's what makes that attempted secession such a crime against humanity.

slavery was DYING a un-lamented natural death!

It woul've taken many decades.

TWBTS was about just ONE MAJOR cause(depending on which side you were on): 1.FREEDOM for dixie OR 2.Preservation of the union. at best, chattal slavery was a SIDE ISSUE.

Not according to the south's own words in their Declarations.
