I'm wondering if you're referring to the USSC with it's 7 Republicans and 2 Democrats? Other than that, I don't think the Prez appoints State justices.

President appoints District Court judges as well. If you think what's happening in SF is something wait until a democrat starts appointing higher court judges who will put these guys to shame.

Seriously, if it's Kerry, his voting records is MORE liberal than Kennedy, and as for Edwards, the trial lawyer.........well......you can only guess.
