The reason for concern over high gas prices, is that it could impact the recovering economy, which would not be good for Bush.
But as far as I can see, people don't seem to be that concerned about the gas prices per se.

Hi the problem is that we do not have enough refining capacity. In Las Vegas, we get all of our gasoline from California/ California has such a wacky way of doing business that they have to have a seperate gas for winter, and one for summer/
So every year we get stuck with this stupid rational, well it is the change over time, and the refinery, is shut down. You can drill all of the holes you want in Alaska, or what ever but without the refineries, we are in trouble. A refinery is not something you can order through
Wall Mart. It takes years of planning and constuction to get a refinery up and running/
The Greenies have been successful in keeping any new facilities from the drawing board.
Most of the oil we get from Alaska goes to Japan./ Don't ask me why, so we gain very little except for the help on the balance of payments/ A friend of mine says let the Ladies run the country they cannot do any worse. I belive I belive him.
