Bush will make his fourth presidential trip to Mexico for the summit on Jan. 12 and 13 Americanpatrol.com has a lot of support for their suggestion that we spend no money on 12 Jan. Not exactly a "boycott" but just a way of expressing an opinion. Easy way for me I have to do it often.
American Patrol has patriots on the border to help protect private property and to call attention to violations of our sovereignty and laws. Such pesky little things matter to them and they are doing something.

Wish you'd make a senate run. But you're far too intelligent All we ever get are are ex-movie stars, borderline personalities and socialists. It's very disheartening to remember you get the government you deserve (sigh) And I'm just baffled that the President would even consider such destructive proposals after 911! Well, we've got to give him more feedback. But every poll ever done shows the American public is squarely, overwhelmingly against these amnesty trial balloons...What can he be thinking????

But I still can't blame the poor immigrants who are taken advantage of by these companies for "stealing" jobs from Americans. These people are living a hard life and are just trying to make it. I'm all for them being allowed to sue their employer for all all overtime and legal wages they didn't have --- plus get the employer to reimburse the taxpayers for any costs these illegals incurred. Let them take a nice big chunk of money back with them.

The other way to help the problem of illegals crossing the border is to make the Mexican Government pay for the cost of processing those we catch coming across illegally, and allow the Mexican Government to bill us for every American they catch coming across illegally. The cost to control the border should be shared equally. From everything that I have read on this issue, the Mexican Government encourages illegals

You suck! Being pro-illegal isn't cool in my book.
Yeah! Those who jaywalk, speed on the road, don't wear their seat belts, or park illegally are ... ILLEGALS! (Those who try to make ordinances and laws against misdemeanors into some kind of a religion and the highest arbiter of right and wrong are not cool in mine.)

Wish you'd make a senate run.
The Know-Nothing Party would require that he lose the foreign-hosted feline image first. Don't hold your breath waiting for such a deep personal sacrifice.

And I feel sorry for some illegals too -- but pity isn't fixing the root problem of why they must leave their homes, families, their homeland. To me it seems that massive migrations of people cause a lot of instability --- people are cut off from their families and hometowns, their way of life. The instability leads to more massive migrations.
I'm not for a big round-up, no door to door searches --- and I think like someone else suggested --- incremental gains. Many would deport themselves --- if those committing DWIs, shoplifting, truancy, applying for welfare, leaving unpaid bills, etc were to be sent back as they show up.

It was so sad back in the 60's and 70's before mass migration really got cranked up. There were no restaurants, no taxis, no garbage collection, no construction getting done. LOL! (so sarcastic)

I own my own business and years ago the State Government here was lax about collecting the Sales Tax I collect from my customers, they rarely issued any fines for being late, they did mush like creditors do, they sent several warning letters before doing anything about being delinquent.
Now they issue a 10% penalty if you're even one day late, and force you to pay a high interest rate until the balance is paid in full.
Needles to say, the amount of delinquency on forwarding the sales Tax collected in my State has reduced to nearly zero :-)

Borders, language, and culture come to mind. Good point.
It's worth noting too that most of the population transfer that transplants language schisms and third-world conditions and norms (including Islam) to the USA - is due to legal immigration, which at a rate of one million migrants per year - likely still outpaces illegal immigration.

Maybe we could agree not to deport all 20 million at one time --- but tell Fox we want to know what he's going to give to the illegals and those returning to and still in Mexico for their lives to be better.
I'm sure many illegals have lost their farmlands and homes -- maybe Fox could get those returned to them when they come back home. Mexico has let that oil infrastructure that was built for them go to ruin --- that might be some nice jobs Fox could work on developing.

You suck! That wasn't a very nice thing to say. You must do penance. Pray that I will forgive you before it is too late.
Being pro-illegal isn't cool in my book.
It isn't "cool" in my book either. Maybe you should educate yourself on my position before responding next time. Cool?

Then you agree it's vital to get started on the next Amnesty to benefit those who won't make the cutoff for Bush's giveaway. After all, they're only going to be here to do the work Americans and legalized illegals won't do.
And if illegals here in 04 deserve legalization, why won't those here in 05, 06, 07 ? So, to be fair, we gotta keep the rolling amnesties rolling - at least until we can do away altogether with these nostalgic notions of sovereignty and get on to post-nation-state utopia.

That reminds me of one acquaintance of mine --- one of those Americans who went illegally to Mexico. Not a bad guy but he got this little business going --- first out of his house -- he didn't really think about paying taxes. The business grew --- he rented a store and was doing pretty well -- he kind of never got around to the tax part of it --- so after quite a few years the IRS came after him and it was a pretty large chunk of money he didn't have to pay --- so he fled to Mexico and was living illegally there --- but I heard he married there so I guess is okay now.

I believe the main goal is to make sure we know who is here and why they're here. If that happens, the problem of illegal immigration will be much easier to control. We need to insure that those who come here legally are dealt with first and those who are here illegaly must conform to our laws and not get preferential treatment. I believe the way to do this is through some kind of basic national ID system for everyone in America. Stiff penalties on employers who violate our immigration laws by hiring illegals.
But those of us who think we can stop the flow of illegals by putting troops on the border, are not grounded in reality
