And you could even apply the argument further, past arbitrary laws about red cars. What if Congress decided to increase the penalties for such mundane "crimes" as littering or speeding? Say Congress went Singapore-style and decreed that these crimes would be punishable with a lashing with a whip or hell, even death? Would that become a valid law simply because it's a law?
The more and more I think of it, the more and more CWO seems like someone who sees government as an absolute ruler, whose laws are valid simply because the government says so.
