some of those who take illegal,recreational drugs have pain too....abuse,molestation,neglect....a lot of people deal with this kind of pain by using illegal drugs...they are hurting as much as rush did physically...where are the kind words for them????????? there may be a reason they use drugs to get high..it may be the only way they can cope with their horrendous problems,too...

Sorry. No dice. ALL of us have had our share of problems.......and I mean BAD ones. I didn't choose to deal with them by sticking a needle in my arm. Most don't.

I've never had sympathy for those who are too weak to deal with their problems more constructively. I've known far too many people who've been through seven levels of Hell who didn't resort to coke or heroin to "cope". That's a total cop out. I don't and never will choose to say "gee, it's ok, dude.......I understand you've had it tough. Your daddy beat you, your cousin molested you, you lost everything in a fire at age 9, all the kids picked on you, you're the wrong color, you lived in all the wrong neighborhoods, etc., etc........so shoot up with my little pat on the head for a blessing."
