You know, I love it when one of the first responses to a thought-provoking article is a really good response.

Too often, a good thread a thread gets off to a bad start because a bunch of knot-headed jackasses spew off their molten jackassery.

You have accomplished the former, and whatever follows, I really doubt it has improved on your succint, right-on-target statement:
