Late last century, when the internet was much younger, some very talented people helped me with a profoundly cross cultural album that could only ever work if it was done in a spirit of freedom. I tried to write the words to express that myself but in the end I couldn’t. I had to borrow words and revise them for the context from Walt Whitman. Where else could I look when I needed to talk about new frontiers of freedom. God Bless America.

Hollywood’s Super Bowl for movie buffs is upon us. And you won’t want to miss the 2020 Oscars on Feb. 9, which will see the year’s hottest stars and most gifted creatives go head-to-head for a shot at entertainment’s most coveted gold trophy: an Academy Award. The live ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., will once again forgo a traditional host this year following last year’s controversy with comedian Kevin Hart, who ultimately stepped down. The honors will instead boast a slew of megastars lined up to announce, as well as a cannon of A-list musicians who will...

Davos, Switzerland hosts the annual World Forum. For the first time, its participant is a former comedian, and now President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. On Wednesday evening, January 22, Zelensky spoke to the audience. More precisely - almost in front of an empty room. At a speech by the President of Ukraine, the audience was only a few people. At that time, for example, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, who spoke to Zelensky, gathered a full house. World leaders seem to have realized that Zelensky is an empty suit as a politician and an extremely hollow person. In...

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Monday that he believes Congress must have a chance to vote on President Donald Trump's moves toward a war with Iran and has discussed a War Powers Resolution with co-sponsor, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine. "I think killing a country's major general is an act of war," Paul said. "I don't think you can get away with saying it's 'imminent.' They've been complaining for years about Soleimani. I mean, most of the killings that are attributed to him are, I think, are from the Iraq War. You know, ten years ago or...

Former Rep. Ron Paul said he wished President Trump would "flip-flop" his policy on Iran and criticized Trump's loyalty to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia. "I think our country is not doing so well. Our foreign policy is in shambles," the Texas Republican said. "Unfortunately, the one place where I wish he would flip-flop every once in a while or change his policy completely is dealing with Iran. He is steady on it, he said it on the campaign. He's very loyal to Netanyahu and Saudi Arabia." Trump authorized airstrikes that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani and...

They called down the dogs. And now, as as they retaliate in their usual cowardly manner, half of America seems to be talking to Twitter.... To apologise. These savages have put out an 80 Million Dollar hit on our president's head. Not some little fringe terrorist group; These bastards broadcast it on Iranian State television.

raqis are celebrating the death of Iran's elite Quds Force chief, General Qassem Soleimani, by "dancing in the street", said US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo while sharing a video of people holding a rally. In the 22-second video which Pompeo shared on Twitter, people are seen running on a road carrying a several meter-long Iraq national flag. The video is of some unspecified location in Iraq. This comes hours after the United States confirmed that Soleimani has been killed in a defence strike near Baghdad International Airport. "Iraqis -- Iraqis -- dancing in the street for freedom; thankful that...

Even though American culture warriors of the right are fighting what Tolkien called ‘the long defeat’, surrender in the Battle of Chick-fil-A was a monumental symbolic loss. That’s because the fast-food chain had become what psychology calls a ‘condensation symbol’: a phrase or entity that powerfully evokes a worldview, and usually calls forth strong emotions around it. Chick-fil-A sells fried chicken. When are chicken nuggets not mere morsels of battered and fried chicken? When LGBT activists transform them into sacraments of Bible-thumping wickedness, as they have done with enormous effectiveness since 2012. That was the year that Dan Cathy, CEO...

On Fox News tonight, Mark Levine — a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates — clashed with Raymond Arroyo — filling in for Laura Ingraham.— over the influence of Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in the Democratic party. Arroyo showed comments Ocasio-Cortez made at a rally for Bernie Sanders, in which she said, “We’re here to say that what we’re living in right now is not an advanced society.” When someone in the crowd remarked “Why aren’t we calling it fascism? That’s what it is!”, the congresswoman responded, “It is fascism what we’re evolving into as well.” Arroyo asked Levine,...
