It wasn't until recent years that I found myself in opposition to John McCain. The once "maverick" and "hawk" was anything but. He became a bought and paid for politician that had many in his own Party, turning on him. If it wasn't enough to learn about the numerous donations from George Soros linked businesses to his campaigns, with the rise of Donald Trump, we saw a very bitter and embattled man, who lashed out in policy decisions from what appeared to be his own personal issues. Trump did what McCain could not. Trump went on the attack - even...

Applying nighttime satellite images, advanced geographical techniques, and mathematical models to history's biggest manhunt, researchers say they have a strong idea where Osama bin Laden went after escaping from Afghanistan in 2001 - and where he may be hiding still. The researchers, using what is billed as the first attempt to apply scientific methodology to the pursuit, point to the lawless frontier town of Parachinar in northwest Pakistan as a prime place to search for the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks.

The report in the Dong-a Ilbo newspaper cited an unnamed government official in saying intelligence obtained Sunday suggested "a serious problem" with Kim's health. The report did not elaborate.

US Democratic Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, who had hoped to replace George W. Bush as president yesterday, instead sat in the cold and clapped as the Republican began a second four-year term. Iowa Democratic Senator Tom Harkin patted Senator Kerry on the back shortly before the inauguration Senator Kerry had hoped would be his. As Mr Bush delivered his inaugural address, Senator Kerry, about 10m away on the steps of the US Capitol, joined other lawmakers and the crowd in repeated applause. Senator Kerry looked relaxed, at times wistful. He frequently smiled, able to hide any disappointment over what...

Some reporters think he's already in U.S. custody Some reporters say U.S. troops already have bin Laden, but Bush is waiting for right time to play his ace in the hole  CAROL HARRINGTONSPECIAL TO THE STAR KABUL—These days, rumours are flying among foreign journalists here that Osama bin Laden — the world's most wanted man — is about to be snared. Some journalists are even wagering on the exact day the Al Qaeda leader will be pulled from his hole, mountain, cave or bunker. Few scribes affirm their assumptions are fuelled by concrete intelligence. But most admit to basing...

Nobody wants to be pushing up daisies. But you kind of like to think that when you one day find yourself doing it, at least the daisies will be real. But not if you're six feet under Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley, Calif. The Associated Press reported yesterday that the famous cemetery is giving up grass in favor of artificial turf. The owners of Sunset Hills Memorial Park say the switch will save as much as $180,000 in water and maintenance costs over the next three years. "I actually believe it will revolutionize the cemetery industry eventually," said...
  • Qusay and Uday -- How to Prove They Are Dead to the Whole World

There are people in Iraq, all over the Arab world, and on the DemocRAT side of the aisle who do not want to believe that Qusay and Uday (or is it Qusai and Udai?)are really dead. Besides pictures, I believe we need to take action to prove it so that no one anywhere can spin it otherwise. I would suggest a team of doctors from several countries who would examine bodies, dental records, xrays, and DNA. Let them make a report of their findings. That is probably the only way to finalized this thing and end all the speculation.

Crime-scene photo unsettling to some 01/25/2003 By JACQUIELYNN FLOYD / The Dallas Morning News The large photograph that appeared in Friday's paper - the trade argot is "centerpiece art" - gave rise to a lot of discussion by virtue of having had a dead person in it. The picture was taken outside a Far North Dallas home, where a resident had shot and killed two intruders who tried to break in early Thursday. One of the apparent burglars died in the apartment, and the other collapsed and died outside. A photographer for The Dallas Morning News captured what is...
