Among the many joys of the holiday season are the classic, beloved songs that have been passed down from one generation to the next, bringing together listeners young and old. Among the most notable and nostalgia-provoking is the delightfully ubiquitous “The Christmas Song,” subtitled “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire.” Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe (and the baritone voice of Nat King Cole) help to make the season bright. Nathaniel Adams Coles was born on March 17, 1919. The son of a Baptist minister and a church organist, he was immersed in a musical lifestyle at a young...

Artery calcification is almost twice as common in night owls compared to early birds, according to a study. Circadian rhythm appears to be particularly important for the heart and blood vessels during the early stages of the disease. Artery calcification, or atherosclerosis as it is also known, involves fatty deposits accumulating on the inside of the arteries, making it harder for blood to pass through. The study, involved 771 men and women aged between 50 and 64, all of whom are part of the larger population study SCAPIS. The degree of artery calcification in the heart's coronary arteries was examined...

Normalizing Sodomy: The True Legacy of FrancisA few days ago, the head of the former Holy Office, Cardinal Victor Manuel Fernandez, went out of his way to let the world know that single mothers who repent and confess their sins should be allowed to receive Holy Communion. NEWSFLASH to Cardinal Victor: The Catholic Church has never said otherwise. I was educated in Catholic schools from the first grade all the way though Catholic university, and I never heard any priest, sister, or lay professor even suggest that an unwed mother was to be considered excommunicated and therefore cut off from...

Donald Trump was president for four years and in that time was unable to resolve the Ukraine-Russia conflict, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview that aired Sunday, rejecting as pure fantasy the Republican's claim that he could end the war in a day. Speaking in Kyiv with ABC's Martha Raddatz, Zelenskyy said there were some "dangerous signals coming from particularly politicians" regarding future aid to Ukraine, though he noted the question of future support is "up for Americans to decide, and I would hate to interfere." While many Republicans back the Biden administration's military support, including a recent...

Putin Quote: “during the course of the special military operation, it has become clear there are shortages of many things — precision-guided munitions, communications equipment, aircraft, drones and so on.” “We have them, but unfortunately we don’t have enough of them,” he said, according to state media. As well as drones, “modern anti-tank weapons are needed, and modern tanks are needed.”

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Four University of Idaho students who were found dead in a rental house near campus were stabbed to death in their beds and likely were asleep when they were attacked, a county coroner told a cable news channel. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt also told NewsNation on Thursday that each victim suffered multiple stab wounds from a “pretty large knife.” “It has to be somebody pretty angry in order to stab four people to death,” Mabbutt told NewsNation. The victims were stabbed in the chest and upper body, the coroner said. Efforts by The Associated Press...

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) got into a fiery argument with a “Fox News Sunday” guest host over the 2020 presidential election, which Brooks repeatedly claimed was stolen and riddled with fraud. When Brooks pressed his claims of voter fraud and pushed for tighter election laws, guest host Sandra Smith countered that effort after effort had failed in court to prove the 2020 election was stolen from former President Trump. “The congressmen and senators disagree with you, with what you just said,” Brooks told her. “Elections are going to be stolen if we don’t fix these problems.” Smith and Brooks then...

Fox already had a whole list of Democrat Activists and their staff: Juan Williams, Marie Harf, Donna Brazille, Geraldo Riveral, etc. These individuals are annoying and are not to be trusted. What brought it to a head for me was Chris Wallace's disgusting bias during as a debate "moderator", similar to the blonde bimbo's opposition researched interview with Trump prior to the 2016 election. Also, the travelogue by Tucker Carlson on the Friday night after the election in which he basically told his followers to be thankful they live in such a wonderful country, after being told not to mention...

Thursday about faking an illness and resigning from office over political disagreements. Biden told CNN Anchor Jake Tapper on CNN’s “Cuomo Prime Time” that working with Harris hasn’t held “any surprise” since they’ve previously spoken about it. Biden told Tapper “I understand how campaigns can sometimes get a little out of wack a little bit” and he said he doesn’t “hold grudges.” “So I don’t have — when we disagree, it will be just like — so far it’s been just like Barack and I did. It’s in private. She’ll say I think we should do A, B, C, or...

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on Sunday the House had its "options" when asked about the possibility of impeaching President Trump and Attorney General William Barr should the White House and Senate Republicans jam a Supreme Court nominee through the process during a lame duck session after Election Day. "We have our options, we have arrows in our quiver that I'm not about to discuss right now," Pelosi told George Stephanopoulos on ABC's "This Week." "But the fact is, we have a big challenge in our country.

[snip] Senate President Pro Tempore Louise Lucas, D-Portsmouth, was charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and injury to a monument in excess of $1,000. She was one of seven people charged, which included NAACP leaders. Monday's charges came one day before the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates convened in a special session to address COVID-19-related budget issues, criminal justice reform and other legislative priorities. Democrats have a 21-19 majority in the Senate, but if Lucas is absent, Democrats only can have one dissenter if they want to pass some of the more controversial pieces of legislation. The tie...
