Hi Mr K, DisruptJ20, the effort to organize locally to ensure no peaceful transition for the Trump administration, is transitioning to a local organizing body called ResistThis! ResistThis is an umbrella organization which is working to coordinate and connect activist groups in Washington, DC. We will strengthen local organizing in the belly of the beast by providing training, holding spaces for spokes councils and assemblies, maintaining a listerv and a database of volunteers, and launching a website with a calendar of local events and other resources. Dove rolled out a new advertisement for their baby skincare line ‘Baby Dove’ featuring moms from all walks of life caring for their babies–and of course included a man who identifies as a ‘mom’. The advertisement starts out with a woman saying, “Everybody has ideas about what it means to be a good mom and most people feel they have a license to tell you what they think it means to be a good mom.’ Then the screen flashes to a cute little saying, preparing the audience for the ‘new mom’ — “Moms are redefining what it means to be...

While there have been plenty of ridiculous protests against President Trump — including marches with hats resembling female genitalia — there is now an over-the-top “protest in space.” In solidarity with the upcoming March for Science, the Autonomous Space Agency Network (ASAN) launched a balloon into space this week with a message reportedly directed at Trump. The important message that needed to be broadcast above Earth was the phrase “LOOK AT THAT, YOU SON OF A B*TCH,” in the form of a tweet. Behold:

Liberal celebrities just can’t let it go. Hillary-loving singer Katy Perry gave an interview to Vogue for the May issue and recounted the “trauma†caused by the “scary†Donald Trump winning last November. As though she were suffering PTSD, Perry mourned, “I was really disheartened for a while; it just brought up a lot of trauma for me. Misogyny and sexism were in my childhood.â€Â She compared, “I have an issue with suppressive males and not being seen as equal. I felt like a little kid again being faced with a scary, controlling guy.†Perry added, “But it's an awakening...

There have been some powerful photography series’ in the LGBTQ+ arts community over the last couple of years that beautifully capture an individual’s identity and struggle coming into that identity in every single shot. The Identity Project is one such project, which is a photo series that allows people to discuss the labels they ascribe to their identity as part of the prep for the photos themselves. Then, of course, there’s Leland Bobbé and his famed Half-Drag series that takes headshots of drag queens with half of their face in drag and half without, capturing the split and synthesis of...

A discussion scheduled for later this month at California State University San Marcos appears slated to delve into the wild world of animal-based sex fetishes. The event, “Furries Vs. Pet Play,” is one among many slated as the campus marks “gAyPRIL,” billed on the school’s website as a monthlong campuswide celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally community. . . . “Pet play,” on the other hand, is described online as a subculture within the BDSM world in which a person likes to pretend to be an animal and engages in submissive and other animal-like behaviors in...

In his new play "The Trial of Trayvon Martin," set to open April 6 in the Manny Fried Playhouse, Buffalo playwright Gary Earl Ross poses a simple question with a damning answer: What would have happened on Feb. 26, 2012 if the roles of Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman, whose deadly confrontation that evening helped to fuel a new movement for racial justice in America, had been switched? "Would Martin have been released because there was nothing to contradict his story?" Ross asked. "Or would he have been held until they found something to contradict his story?" Given what we...

During last weekend's resistance to the many pro-Trump rallies held around the nation, where many of them were visually reduced to a bunch of fleeing pussies, the Boston chapter of antifa responded introducing a new approach. Aside from the intro and ending insert, the following video is the actual, serious presentation where "Quinn discusses a problematic issue within the Antifa Movement"....

The behind-the-scenes story of the staredown between a few dozen conservative true believers and a novice president. ....In a conference room in the Rayburn House Office Building, the group met that evening and made a secret pact. No member would commit his vote before consulting with the entire group — not even if Trump himself called to ask for an on-the-spot commitment. The idea, hatched by Freedom Caucus Vice Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), was to bind them together in negotiations and ensure the White House or House leaders could not peel them off one by one. Twenty-eight of the...

The agenda machine at CNN has reached the bottom of the barrel in its critique of all things Donald Trump. When you spend two minutes of expensive air time to analyze the deeper meanings of Trump’s use of stairs, it might be time to reassess your credibility. On a recent New Day on CNN, an entire segment was devoted to conspiracy theories birthed by the British press and Vanity Fair that the president suffers from bathmophobia — the fear of ramps and stairs. Over a montage of videos showing a 70-year-old President Trump ascending and descending stairs carefully (as he...

Garbage in Garbage out: Children lick lollipops, millennial groupies, a Canadian prime minister The image having sealed a message that was indelible, Canadian Liberals called back their cardboard cutouts of ‘ain’t-he-handsome’ Justin Trudeau from being used for hundreds of “diplomatic events”. “The government of Canada has spent a lot of money on cardboard cutouts of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, so that fans of Canada across the world can experience a moment with their magical and hunky leader.” (HeatStreet, March 22, 2017)

I have a buddy in rural Illinois who is living with and helping out his elderly mom, and he likes to cook. He cooks up a storm. They both enjoy the food. The house they are in has begun to display a very bad bedbug infestation. Both my buddy's mom and my buddy are freaking out. They don't have a lot of money but they are about to call Orkin. I stopped to think about the science of bedbugs. Both my buddy and I did a lot of online research after discovering the infestation. But I think I have a...
