London Mayor Sadiq Khan gave a speech in Manchester on behalf of the EU ‘Remain’ campaign, with women noticeably absent from the front of the crowd. In an effort to bolster the ailing Remain campaign, newly elected London Mayor Sadiq Khan has gone on a road trip across the country to try and boost support for remaining in the European Union (EU). A photograph from one of Mr. Khan’s speeches in Manchester posted on the Guido Fawkes blog reveals that in at least one of his speeches, meant to galvanise Labour voters in the north of England, women were excluded...

Adverts promoting negative body images will be banned across the Transport for London (TfL) network from next month. As part of his mayoral election manifesto Sadiq Khan pledged to ban adverts promoting "unhealthy or unrealistic" body images. The advertising watchdog received 378 complaints in 2015 about a weight-loss advert that asked customers if they were "beach body ready?" Mr Khan has now asked TfL to set up its own advertising steering group. The Protein World "beach body ready" promotional posters were defaced in Tube stations and a petition was started calling for the adverts to be banned, however the Advertising...

Donald Trump has a big problem with women. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee lags 23 points behind Hillary Clinton with women, according to an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll taken in April. It's become conventional wisdom that the combination of Clinton's gender and Trump's spotty record with women will lead to him getting crushed with female voters in November. But that's not necessarily the case. First of all, Clinton isn't as strong with women as she looks. Bernie Sanders beat Clinton by seven points among women in New Hampshire. A full 82 percent of women under 30 supported the male Sanders...

..... They need a cause. Without a cause, Progressives lose the means to hammer us with guilt and they lose their think tank foundations and all that money. So as I have it figured, one fine day, a slow day, something suitable to ruin the country…a new cause. The old causes were not doing so well. ..... Then, to top it off, Obama’s most trusted advisor, Ben Rhodes, confirmed what we always suspected, that the Iran Nuke Deal was a farce from the word go. Yes we were tricked. So they had to find something else to bamboozle us, something...

Kofi Annan had what perhaps was the quote of the week recently. In an editorial displayed in The Washington Post, Annan said of Iraq: “In a media-hungry age, visibility is often regarded as proof of success, but this does not necessarily hold true in Iraq.” Most of Iraq’s successes have been away from the camera. They have been too far away for most Americans to see. President Bush has stated that “successes” abound in Iraq, but he has failed to elaborate. Therefore, I followed Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi’s advice and searched for the real facts about Iraq. We do see...

More and more Americans are opting out of Earth Day in favor of a holiday that offers a chance to fight back against Marxism and political correctness. The holiday, which is called “Holly Maddux Day,” is named after the young woman murdered by Ira Einhorn, a 1960s antiwar activist. Einhorn, who was a friend of Jerry Rubin and Abby Hoffman, is regarded by many as the founder of Earth Day. Einhorn emceed the first Earth Day celebration in Philadelphia in April 1970, at which Sen. Edmund Muskie gave the highlight address. Einhorn, an advocate of free love and drug use,...

Researchers who studied people who sell items on eBay (EBAY) turned up a surprising result: Women sellers get 80 cents on the dollar compared to men, according to a new study published in Science Magazine. The researchers assessed over 1 million auctions from 2009 to 2012 and found that women sellers get fewer bids and lower final prices than men -- for the same products. The gender bias was greatest for new products. In fact, it nearly disappeared for used items -- women make 97 cents for every dollar a man does. The researchers said the lower gap seen with...

(NBC) - Donald Trump says he regrets retweeting an unflattering photo of the wife of rival Ted Cruz, a rare move for the Republican front-runner more known for his boasts than backtracking. "Yeah, it was a mistake," Trump told New York Times. "If I had to do it again, I wouldn't have sent it." The retweet set off a war of words between the two candidates, and gave fresh fuel to Democratic candidates and other critics who marveled at a Republican presidential race that had descended into a fight over the candidates' wives. Trump retweeted the photo compilation showing an...

Senate Democrats are trying to turn the GOP’s refusal to move on the Supreme Court vacancy into the latest episode of the “war on women.” Led by some of their most senior female members, Senate Democrats will take to the floor Tuesday to launch a new messaging offensive that ties the battle over replacing Justice Antonin Scalia to a GOP-led hearing on late-term abortions scheduled to occur later Tuesday. The new tactic, led by Washington Sen. Patty Murray, the sole woman in Democratic leadership, is an attempt to galvanize women in the Supreme Court vacancy fight, particularly as the high...

The Senate Judiciary Committee today is holding a hearing on the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act — legislation that would ban abortions nationwide after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Although half of all unborn children killed in late-term abortions are little girls, Democrats in the Senate are bashing the pro-life bill by calling it a “war on women.” Last September, Senate Democrats blocked a vote on a pro-life Senate bill to ban late-term abortions — a bill that would save as many as 18,000 unborn babies form abortions each and every year. The bill highlights how unborn babies feel intense...

Rosie O'Donnell pissed off the autism community with a joke about autistic kids, which is why they're now calling Rosie a "piece of dog s***" ... and Rosie now has regrets. O'Donnell performed at Carolines on Broadway Sunday, where she joked that parenting her teenagers was so tough she'd trade them in for autistic triplets in an instant. A rep for the National Autism Association says her org is beyond offended. The rep didn't hold back, saying Rosie wasn't only "dog s***," she was mushy dog s*** on the bottom of their shoe. The rep railed on, saying O'Donnell "crossed...

Amid all the media analyses of the prospects of each of the candidates in both political parties, there is remarkably little discussion of the validity -- or lack of validity -- of the arguments these candidates are using. It is as if what matters this election year is the fate of a relative handful of people-- currently seven -- running for their respective parties' nominations. Meanwhile, the fate of the 320 million Americans who are going to be affected by the outcome of this year's election fades into the background. The fact that Hillary Clinton's election prospects, for example, depend...
