The Lincoln Project, led by anti-Trumpers like George Conway and Rick Wilson, had been asking for cash to help blast a disgusting anti-Trump coronavirus ad “Mourning in America” across the TV airwaves. The pleading apparently attracted the cash of a prominent billionaire. Walmart heiress and billionaire Christy Walton contributed $20,000 to the group in January. The Washington Post reported that The Lincoln Project “has a much smaller war chest than other independent groups going after [President Donald] Trump.” The Post continued: “But it is aiming to make the most of its unique position by directly antagonizing the president.”

An off-duty Alabama police officer was caught on camera body-slamming a woman in Walmart in an altercation that cops say began because she wasn’t wearing a facemask. Wild video posted by AL.com from the Tuesday incident in the Birmingham big-box store shows the cop placing the woman in handcuffs as she begins to walk away from him. The officer then grabs the woman, lifts her up and drops her to the ground face-first. The Birmingham Police Department said it is investigating the use of force by the officer, who was off-duty and working a side gig as a security guard...

WASHINGTON (WJLA/CNN) - A Walmart customer concerned with social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic but not wearing a face mask is accused of using pepper spray on other customers who were trying to board the same elevator. Many Walmart shoppers at a Washington, D.C., location were trying to get on an elevator to the parking garage Monday when a woman without the required face mask got on first and tried to close the doors. “She was talking about some social distancing, six feet, but she was real serious with it, though,” said shopper Dominick Gamble, who recorded the incident on...

Beginning Monday, Walmart and Sam’s Club will require all of their approximately 1.5 million U.S.-based associates to wear masks or other face coverings. This is a change from previous store policy which has now evolved to reflect CDC guidance on mitigating the spread of COVID-19. John Furner of Walmart and Kath McLay of Sam’s Club sent out a memo to associates explaining the policy adjustment. Wearing a mask or face covering is now mandatory for all employes, no longer something done on a voluntary basis. Employees can wear their own masks or use a company-provided one. On April 9, masks...

The debate about “reopening the economy” is a phony debate. It’s phony because “the economy” isn’t shut down. Far from it. Walmart is still open. Dollar General is open. Amazon is open. Alibaba is open. It just so happens that the big-box mass merchandisers and online retailers responsible for flooding our country with crap from Communist China are open. Meanwhile, other, very specific parts of the country are shut down. Family-owned shops and workshops, the backbone of America, are closed. Fast-food franchises remain open—drive-through windows are operating at full tilt—but independently owned restaurants are shuttered or trying to survive at...

Retail giant Walmart on Friday announced changes to its retail stores across the country. The changes are geared to protect staff and customers from the Wuhan coronavirus. "While many of our customers have been following the advice of the medical community regarding social distancing and safety, we have been concerned to still see some behaviors in our stores that put undue risk on our people," Dacona Smith, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, said in a post on the company's website. To manage this restriction, the associates at a store will mark a queue at a single-entry door (in most cases the Grocery entrance) and direct arriving customers there, where they will be admitted one-by-one and counted. Associates and signage will remind customers of the importance of social distancing while they’re waiting to enter a store – especially before it opens in the morning. Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a “1-out-1-in” basis. We’ll also institute one-way movement through our aisles next week in a number of our stores, using floor markers and direction from...
