While everything seems to be new and bustling with energy in South Bend’s downtown, elsewhere, the city’s economic life is in a holding pattern. Residents in the area say they see little of the mayor, and lament the flow of city dollars they see headed into neighborhoods they view as already well-off, as they are left to struggle amid rising gun violence and absent city services. “Ain’t s--- changed,” said Shawn White, a black 24-year-old from South Bend’s west side.

In his CNN town hall on Monday night, Senator Bernie Sanders (I–VT) said convicted criminals, including those who committed acts of sexual assault or terrorism like the Boston Marathon bomber, should have the right to vote. Ignoring the fact that these individuals have violated public trust and, in some cases, taken away their fellow neighbor’s right to vote by murdering them, Sanders argued criminals’ right to vote is inherent to democracy. “I think the right to vote is inherent to our democracy,” he said. “Yes, even for terrible people, because once you start chipping away, you’re running down a slippery...

Progressive organizations, many financed by billionaire activist George Soros, are working overtime to restore voting rights for Florida’s nearly 1.4 million ex-felons as the nation’s biggest swing state seems poised to play a pivotal electoral role in the 2020 presidential race. The current battle revolves around a Florida state amendment that was passed last year restoring voting rights for felons, with progressive groups opposing a local bill that would require the state’s ex-felons to first pay civil fines and court fees before registering to vote. Florida’s Amendment Four was approved by voters during last year’s Midterm election. The heavily Soros-funded...

Go look at the DeMoines Register website. Bernie is advocating to allow felons to vote. Most Democrats have little or no values and are criminally-minded, just like Trump has said. So, it makes sense.

When the Senate took contentious votes this week on a disaster aid package to help California rebuild after wildfires, Sen. Kamala Harris was in Sacramento — courting the support of labor unions for her presidential campaign. A day later, Harris was stumping in Nevada when she missed a Tuesday vote on the start of a Republican maneuver to speed up confirmation of President Donald Trump’s judicial and executive branch nominees. Harris was still in Nevada Wednesday when the Senate took more votes, including a historic vote in which Senate Republicans used the so-called nuclear option to finalize their plan to...

Highlight Clip – Jared Kushner with Laura Ingraham a few hours ago ‘In Florida More Ex-Felons Register as Republicans than Democrats’ Jared Kushner: One statistic that I found very pleasing is that, in Florida they passed a law that former felons can now vote. We’ve had more ex-felons register as Republicans than Democrats and I think they see the reforms… Laura Ingraham: Woah, woah… You’ve had more ex-felons register as Republicans than Democrats? Jared Kushner: That’s the data that I’ve seen. I think that will surprise a lot of people.

Should Sixteen Year Olds Vote In Federal Elections? The Constitution left voting privileges up to the states. What age, sex, or race allowed to vote was a decision each state was free to legislative. I recall the argument in favor of allowing eighteen year olds to vote in Federal Elections. The arguments had merit and the nation ratified the 26th Amendment. Section 1 The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age. Section...

Presidential hopeful Kamala Harris wants to force every American to give up his private health insurance, but she can’t get herself to support legislation that compels doctors to give an infant who survives an abortion attempt the same care they would provide any other human being. She’s merely one of 44 Democrats who voted to keep negligent homicide legal against babies marked for termination. Presidential candidates Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders all voted against Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse’s Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, as well.Senate Democrats unsurprisingly struggled to find an effective way to...

Children are our future -- and a group of Oregon lawmakers wants the future to be now. They’re pushing a bill that would amend Oregon’s constitution to lower the voting age in the state from 18 to 16. They hope to put it before voters in 2020. Younger Oregonians should have “a chance to participate in the ballot -- about decisions that affect their homes, their clean air, their future, their schools and, as we’ve seen, their very lives,” Democratic state Sen. Shemia Fagan said at a Monday press conference announcing the measure.

Electoral College advocates see a window of opportunity to eliminate America’s unique presidential election system. They are seizing the moment, working to implement change before anyone realizes what happened. They even think they can do it without a constitutional amendment. National Popular Vote (NPV) is a California-based effort that has been running under the radar. Its proponents ask state legislatures to agree to an interstate compact. By the terms of that simple contract, each participating state would agree to allocate its entire slate of electors to the winner of the national popular vote. This is a change from the current...

They're going for the gold. Democrats have started dropping their marbles. Now we have the Colorado Senate passing a bill to direct their Electoral College delegates to vote for the winner of the National popular vote in Presidential elections !!!!! It's all part of the efforts called "National Popular Vote Interstate Compact" and it's blasting off like a rocket. Probably unConstitutional but they'll do it anyway and wait for the SCOTUS to decide as they continue the anti-American onslaught of corrupt BS. Democrats definitely have some screws coming loose as the mental cases mount up in popularity 🤣 Colorado Senate...

Just watching Dr Jill Stein on Tucker and she was commenting on Starbucks’ Shultz announcing a Presidential run. She said ‘we are no longer constrained by the two party system, you just have to pass ‘Rank Choice’. Maine has passed Rank Choice and it cost the Republicans a House seat. The Republican had the most votes, but those who voted for the 3rd party candidate could say who they wanted if the 3rd party candidate didn’t win. And of course, their second choice was the Dem. So, with those ‘second choice’ votes added in, the Dem was awarded the win.

On Friday January 25, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that 95,000 individuals registered to vote in the Lone Star State have been identified as "Non-US Citizens," meaning they are illegally registered to vote. Further evidence brought forth by Texas Secretary of State David Whitely confirms that 58,000 of these individuals have broken the law and voted in "one or more" recent elections. “Every single instance of illegal voting threatens democracy in our state and deprives individual Texans of their voice," AG Paxton said in a statement. "My Election Fraud Unit stands ready to investigate and prosecute crimes against the...

An evaluation by the Texas Secretary of State's office discovered that about 95,000 people identified by the Texas Department of Public Safety as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voting registration record. The state claims 58,000 of those people voted in one or more state elections over 22 years. For perspective, during the 2018 Gubernatorial election, more than 15.7 million people were registered to vote, and more than 8.3 million actually voted. In an advisory released Friday, the Texas Secretary of State, David Whitley, announced the findings from its voter registration maintenance activities. The maintenance activity was done in accordance with...

For those of you without a map, or if you, unfortunately, have an IQ equal to that of Nancy Pelosi, Texas is a border state. As such, Texas has some illegal immigration problems. These problems interfere with the same democracy the left pretends to give a crap about. But actually don’t. Behold, voter fraud: From Ken Paxton's Twitter VOTER FRAUD ALERT: The @TXsecofstate discovered approx 95,000 individuals identified by DPS as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voter registration record in TX, approx 58,000 of whom have voted in TX elections. Any illegal vote deprives Americans of their voice. To the...

A new Florida law is scheduled to take effect on Tuesday that will reportedly allow those who have been convicted of felonies to register to vote. The Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that the new measure, which 64 percent of residents voted to approve last year, will automatically restore voting rights to Floridians with past felony convictions. According to the local newspaper, offenders who were not convicted of murder or sexual offenses that have also completed “all terms of their sentence including parole or probation” will have their voting rights automatically restored on Tuesday.

In Orange County the Democrats harvested 250,000 absentee ballots—enough to kill off four members of Congress, a State Senator and Assemblyman. Now we find out, through a technicality in the law, the harvesters in many cases were illegal aliens!! “The Times describes how California’s famed ballot-harvestors, who flipped places such as Orange County blue in the last midterm, aren’t actually citizens. They did it by “helping” voters fill out, and turn in, and continue to turn in, ballots from otherwise uncommitted voters until they got the result they wanted. Here’s the DREAMers “helping” the voters vote the way they wanted,...

Utah ranks No. 1 among the states for its population growth rate this decade — thanks to its high birthrate plus a strong economy that attracts people from other states and abroad. Growth slowed a bit here recently — and Utah ranked No. 3 for 2018, according to estimates released Wednesday by the U.S. Census Bureau. “We added nearly 400,000 people this decade,” the equivalent of adding two cities the size of Salt Lake City, said Pam Perlich, director of demographic research at the University of Utah's Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute. In just the past year, Utah added 57,987...
