A black Villanova University student who reportedly was knocked to the ground by a group of young white men yelling "Trump, Trump, Trump" days after the presidential election has declined to pursue charges, a spokesman for Radnor Township police said Monday. "The victim in this case has informed Radnor Police that at this time she does not wish to pursue this matter any further," said Lt. Andy Block. "We're going to keep a case file on it. If she changes her mind, we'll absolutely investigate it." The university, however, is continuing its investigation, said spokesman Jonathan Gust.

VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say the dean of Villanova University's law school was involved in a prostitution investigation before resigning last week. State police say Mark Sargent was seen leaving a suspected house of prostitution in suburban Philadelphia just before a raid Nov. 25. He was not charged. Instead, police say Sargent was one of two customers who provided information to authorities prosecuting the case. The owner of the Kennett Township home recently pleaded no contest to promoting prostitution; two co-defendants pleaded guilty to the charge.

On 21 May 2005, I attended the bacculareate Mass at Villanova University in southeastern Pennsylvania. My sister was graduating from this school, which was founded by Augustinian priests in the mid-19th century. The Mass took place in the early evening at the university's stadium, and other than a brief shower, the liturgy started well. A choir sang Palestrina's Tu es Petrus prior to the beginning of the Mass. I was delighted to hear that particular piece of music.
