It's $7.50 on Amazon. It's April 1, which means companies all over the world are doing the most when it comes to trying to prank us all. But Velveeta promises its newest release is anything but a joke. On Monday, the company best known for its brightly colored cheese announced it is getting into the personal care game with Velveeta Gold, its very first hair dye. And it promised Food & Wine — over and over again — that it indeed isn't a joke. “La Dolce Velveeta is a lifestyle — always confident and forever in service of living by your...

Starbucks had racism in its corporate identity long before the April arrests. Through its corporate donations, Starbucks contributes to one of the most racist organizations in our nation’s history. Planned Parenthood, the largest single provider of abortions in the U.S., performs more than 300,000 terminations each year. Abortion mills like Planned Parenthood didn’t become prevalent in the lives of pregnant African-American women by happenstance. Planned Parenthood’s business model was specifically engineered to target them. Planned Parenthood has spent an entire century murdering children and eradicating African-Americans. Meanwhile, the tide is turning against the injustice of abortion, with a majority of...

Whole Foods shares are getting crushed after earnings. The company reported record second quarter sales that still were below investors' expectations, and shares were down as much as 10% in after hours trade on Wednesday. This past weekend at the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders' meeting this past weekend, CEO Warren Buffett singled out the company, saying that that the customers there simply don't seem like a happy bunch. Here's some more color on what Buffett said, according to Time: "Food and beverage companies will adjust to the expressed preferences of consumers. No company does well ignoring its consumers. "It’s amazing...

If you have Velveeta cheese in the fridge, check the label. According to the Chicago Tribune, Kraft is recalling 32-ounce containers of the cheese after it was found that a specific batch didn’t contain enough preservatives. In a release, the company explained that, while unlikely, insufficient levels of sorbic acid in the 260 recalled cases of Velveeta original pasteurized recipe cheese product could cause it to spoil before the best-by date or trigger food-borne illnesses in people who eat it. Consumers are advised to check their labels, and the recalled products have the code “021000611614”, a date stamp that reads...

If they can make Velveeta disappear - why can they not make pithy columnists and imperial presidents disappear? Hmmmmmm???? You'll forgive me if I just take a break from the ordinary format of buttressing my perspectives with documentation, quotes and data points and just vent. Perhaps I should do so more often and likely I will, because progressives don't know what to do with the truth when they see it and you rely on your native common sense to sort things out anyway.A buddy of mine who is part of my email band of gypsies, sent me a thing...

We live in a country where a momentary shortage, that has not yet even materialized, of a specific, beloved processed cheese product, is a national news story deemed worthy by citizens of being suffixed into a “-pocalypse”

Charles de Gaulle famously bemoaned the difficulties involved in running a country with 246 different types of cheese. But it seems world famous Gallic varieties including camembert, roquefort and brie are increasingly falling out of favour. Although the average Frenchman still eats almost a pound of cheese per week, making the country the second biggest consumer of the food in Europe after Greece, it is increasingly likely to be a processed foreign variety. New figures show raw-milk cheeses from rural France, which until the Second World War accounted for nearly all consumption, now make up just seven per cent of...

I had quite a busy day running about today, scouting for prime locations, trying to secure supplies and doing my best to get my All American gourmet hot dog kiosks up and running by the end of this month. Next week I will have to deal with the authorities here to secure my licenses and such which will be another drama altogether. Thank goodness my Malay is close to fluent, because it really helps a lot. Since my Chile Con Carne and hot dogs have had such a good reception, I've decided to do nachos as well (ballpark style) the...
