U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is coordinating with Democratic activists to so disrupt the upcoming Republican and Democratic National Conventions that martial law will be declared. That’s the stunning discovery revealed in a series of direct messages between three activists. On Friday, June 10, 2016, someone hacked into the Twitter account of #BlackLivesMatter (BLM) leader and former Baltimore mayoral candidate DeRay McKesson. McKesson later confirmed the hack to The Baltimore Sun. On June 11, 2016, a Twitterer who calls himself The Saint (@TheSaintNegro) tweeted a direct-message conversation on June 10 between KcKesson and another BLM leader Johnetta Elzie (Netta), in...

ABC news journalist Liz Kreutz who has been covering the Clinton campaign noted that Barack Obama had taken over Hillary Clinton’s Instagram account. Liz even took a screenshot showing Barack Obama’s description alongside the picture. However look a little bit closer, there’s a comment also included in the picture that is sure to send Hillary running towards the phones to have the image removed.

Kepler normally makes news for its planetary findings, like this batch of nine planets discovered in a habitable zone of stars where conditions could be right for liquid water, and potentially life. Twitter has a long history of hacks, often targeted at celebrity accounts. A hacker compromised Jack Black's Tenacious D Twitter account earlier this year with a fake death notice sent out to his fans. Other big names, including Katy Perry and Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, have also been victimized on the social-media site. NASA's Kepler account seems like an unusual choice for a Twitter hack. "We're investigating the cause...

A Tweet from Carl Paladino, a former candidate for New York governor and a current surrogate for Donald Trump’s campaign, appeared to suggest that the Attorney General of the United States should be lynched on Wednesday morning. “Lynch @LorettaLynch let a Grand Jury decide,” Paladino said in the Tweet, which has since been deleted.

Twitter’s court of public opinion was ruling against FBI Director James Comey Tuesday after the FBI announced that it would not be pressing any charges against Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton despite ruling that she and her aides were “careless” in their mishandling of classified information during Clinton’s time as secretary of state. With a creativity usually reserved for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s faux pas, Twitter exploded with “Shorter Comey” tweets as the Twittersphere boiled down the massive FBI investigation and Comey’s statement to the media Tuesday into a message that was just Twitter-sized.

Donald Trump took to Twitter with his usual bombast in response to FBI Director James Comey's recommendation that charges not be brought against Hillary Clinton for her handling of classified information in connection to private email servers. "The system is rigged. General Petraeus got in trouble for far less. Very very unfair! As usual, bad judgment," the GOP's presumptive nominee tweeted.

Two historically black colleges in Atlanta are investigating sexual-assault allegations posted on an anonymous Twitter account that described the rape of a Spelman student by four Morehouse students. The alleged gang rape at a party was detailed in series of tweets posted Monday under the handle @RapedAtSpelman, which self-identified as a freshman at the women’s college.

The Washington Post published an article listing five candidates likely to be considered to be Trump's vice president. U.S. Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa is on that list. Ernst is Iowa's first female U.S. Senator. Ernst was not well known When she ran for the senate seat vacated by the retiring Tom Harkin. KWWL-TV caught up with Ernst and asked if she would consider serving as Donald Trump's vice president. "I would say, 'did my mother pay you to say that?', Ernst said. "But, no. I would have to consider it, but I love what I do in the United...

Which begs the question: Who is he going to pick as his vice presidential nominee? The short answer: No one knows. Trump relishes being unpredictable so trying to game out how this most unconventional of politicians will make his mind up is a bit of a guessing game. Add to that the fact that Trump's inner circle remains, largely, devoid of establishment types and you quickly get into a situation where the people talking don't know much and the people who do know aren't talking.

Trump posted a comment of the red star controversy a couple of hours ago on Twitter, so I guess the liberal media is pushing this nonsense for all it's worth. I've been doing armchair semiotical studies, researching insignia, signs, & symbols for over a day now, and could only find one match to the red star posted in a Trump tweet. And it's an exact match. It's the insignia of the U.S. Army 6th Infantry Division, especially in WWII.

Swedish Left Party politician Barbro Sörman has suggested that it’s “worse” when Swedish men rape women, than when immigrants do so. “The Swedish men who rape do it despite the growing gender equality. They make an active choice. It’s worse imo [in my opinion],” Sörman tweeted. Sörman, a self-described socialist and a feminist, made the observation in response to what she claimed was excessive media focus on the fact that most of the rapes in Sweden are committed by immigrants. She explained that Swedish men are brought up in a society that believes in gender equality and therefore should be...

Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst is among the candidates being considered to become Donald Trump's running mate, a source with knowledge of Trump's vice presidential selection process tells CNN. Another source close to the process confirmed the information. It's not clear whether the freshman Republican senator and tea party star has received paperwork from the campaign or is just being scrutinized through the wealth of publicly accessible information about her. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence are also being considered, the source said. A senior Trump campaign adviser confirmed Pence is being...

Donald Trump announced he would meet with Sen. Joni Ernst on Monday, one of several recent names dropped on his Twitter feed that are fueling speculation over his highly-anticipated vice presidential selection. "I look forward to meeting @joniernst today in New Jersey. She has done a great job as Senator of Iowa!" Trump tweeted early Monday. Ernst's name appeared in reports on VP shortlists over the weekend, and a senior Trump adviser confirmed to CNN that Ernst is being considered. Trump also doled out some conspicuous praise for Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton, who have also...

The fact that it is trending means enough people had to be tweeting it out. Thankfully, there is a lot of push back which is great to see. I will post some of the anti-American tweets: â€@BethButler_ #AmericaWasNeverGreat it was founded on imperialism, genocide and slavery. Ambassadorships to major countries and trouble spots were typically given out to professional diplomats. You might send a donor with no diplomatic experience off to play ambassador to Gambia or Cyprus, but not to France or China. Obama changed that as he changed so many things, dispatching a ridiculously incompetent donor to serve as ambassador to the UK and after failing to make Caroline Kennedy the senator from New York (after some Schumer sabotage and a New Yorker backlash), Princess Caroline had to settle for being the US ambassador to Japan where she's hard at work demonstrating the diplomatic...

What appears to be a tongue-in-cheek social media movement to mark June 29 as a day to celebrate heterosexual pride has become one of the day’s top online trends. Hundreds of thousands of tweets have been sent Wednesday with the hashtag #HeterosexualPrideDay. The idea of such a day has outraged many. One of the top responses comes from British comedian Dapper Laughs, who rhetorically asked on Twitter, “What’s next, #BreathingAirDay?” Others have flooded the hashtag with gay pride memes and other mentions of support. …

A Virginia man who works as an Uber driver tweeted threats to shoot at least two U.S. senators, according to testimony at a hearing Monday in a Virginia court. Kyler Schmitz has been ordered held in jail. In at least one of the tweets, sent in the days immediately after the Orlando nightclub shooting, Schmitz allegedly threatened to shoot Sen. Roy Blunt, a Republican of Missouri. The message was directed at Blunt's official Twitter handle. The tweets, which included graphic and violent language, led to an investigation by U.S. Capitol Police. -snip In other Twitter posts, Schmitz is accused of...
