Everyone is probably already in FReeper snoozeland, but I'll post this anyway. I was chatting with a friend earlier, and I was reminded of a scene and quote from the movie When Peggy Sue Got Married. That made me think of the music from that movie, which I couldn't quite recall, but I knew it was really pretty and emotion evoking. Come to find out it was composed by one of my favourite movie music composers, John Barry. Anyway, this is it. It's really pretty as so much of his stuff is... Video Link

Candid Camera Classic: Guardian Angel ?Matt is an adorable little boy who explains what a guardian angel is in this classic clip from the Candid Camera Show. He sat down for a talk with Allen way back in 1976 and then made an appearance 23 years later at Allen’s memorial service. I hope Matt is right and that we all have a guardian angel looking after us or at least little kids as it sure is a comforting thought the way he explains it. 5 minute video: HTTPS://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPe2q58U0Xw

I ran into Republican pollster Frank Luntz at the HBO party after the Emmy ceremony at the sprawling Pacific Design Center. A few feet away, “Veep” winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus was fending off a crush of well-wishers while HBO chief Richard Plepler had just come from finding his lost cellphone. What’s going to happen? a group of eager Hollywood acolytes wanted Luntz to tell them. Would Hillary Clinton manage a win? Luntz was wearing a burgundy vest and his signature Prince Valiant hairstyle, and shook his head sagely. “She’s going to win, but I can’t say anymore that it’s for certain,”...

Bush appeared in the skit dressed as a limo driver hailed by Kimmel as he frantically sought a ride to the annual television awards show in downtown Los Angeles. "I'm in between jobs right now," says Bush, sporting a cap. "You know you can make $12 an hour driving for Uber?" He then asks Kimmel what it's like to be nominated -- a self-effacing nod to his failed bid for the Republican presidential nomination, which was eventually won by Donald Trump.

Huffington Post film reviewer Laura Goldman generally liked the new romantic comedy “Bridget Jone’s Baby,” but she had one problem: It doesn’t promote abortion. Goldman’s movie review read more like an advocacy piece for abortion. She argued that the comedy, the third in the Bridget Jones series, should have mentioned abortion because the pregnant 40-something main character would have considered it in real life. She wrote: “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” deftly written, generates a belly laugh a minute. The one flaw of the movie is that it overdoses on cuteness instead of taking the braver path of discussing birth control and...
