I know you've been waiting for someone to ask this. Who, of the 66 bond girls so far (three girls x 22 films)should James Bond have married and settled down with? With all due respect to Tracy--Countessa Teresa Di Vicenzo, "Tracy Draco", Bond's beloved deceased wife, played by Diana Rigg--and the un-named Kissy Suzuki, played by Mie Hama--who should be the real Mrs. Bond? And I'm not talking about considering the acting ability of the actress playing the part, or your personal hate for her. And you need not name only one--nothing unseemly implied here. I know some of you...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKJ7Tk0sfbc The pick for this week's feature is "Night Passage". This 1957 western features decorated WWII vets and patriots Jimmy Stewart and Audie Murphy as brothers on the opposite sides of the law. I miss patriotic, pro-American actors like Stewart and Murphy. Also features, Hugh Beaumont(a/k/a Ward Cleaver, one of TV's best on-screen dads) as a railroad tycoon.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLJ1m7artbE It's hard to imagine Hollywood making an animated short with this message nowadays but back in 1954, WB produced this Looney Tune teaching a short primer on capitalism and in favor of it! After seeing all those DNC delegates tell Peter Schiff how they want to "ban profit" makes me realize how many folks need to watch this cartoon.

Despite some high-profile product introductions, consumer demand for televisions with the ultra-high-definition (UHD) 4K resolution [3840*2160] will remain negligible for the foreseeable future, with shipments never accounting for more than 1% of the global liquid crystal display (LCD) TV market during the next five years. “If you have a television that is 60" or larger and are watching video that has a 3840*2160 resolution, then a 4K television makes sense. However, a very limited amount of content is available at the 4K resolution. Meanwhile, because of high prices and other issues, the market for super-sized, 60" and larger TV-sets is...

On this day 50 years ago, James Bond became a movie star. The British superspy first hit the big screen on Oct. 5, 1962, when "Dr. No" opened in theaters, introducing Ian Fleming's suave 007 to the masses. Now, a half-century and six Bond actors later, the series is one of the longest running in history, having made $4.9 billion in ticket sales over 22 films. The 23rd Bond movie, "Skyfall," will be released in U.S. theaters on Nov. 9.

It is on the Youtube. I am not sure if it would be a DMCA violation by linking it, but it is out there and will be availible to buy on itunes and Amazon at midnight eastem time. It is good. It is not overtracked, but I am wondering if the jacked up the recording volume or it is just the quality of the track. I am glad it is not a crossover, good movie theme.

The Dark Knight was not the first great Batman movie.Neither was Batman Begins – in fact, years before Warner Bros. brought Christopher Nolan in to revive their marquee franchise, another group of talented film-makers delivered what is still, to many, the definitive on-screen version of the character. And if you’re a fan of the character and haven’t seen Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, you should be ashamed of yourself.Right now seems an ideal time to bring this topic up, as Batman: The Animated Series just celebrated its 20th anniversary (completely unmarked – for SHAME Warner Bros.) on the 5th of this...
