UPDATE: The layoffs at ESPN might turn out worse than predicted, sources tell Sporting News. The Worldwide Leader in Sports could cut around 70 TV/radio anchors, reporters, analysts and online writers over coming days and weeks, sources said. That would be worse than the 40 to 50 on-air talents predicted by ESPN book author James Andrew Miller during a podcast with Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated. The higher numbers may reflect the inclusion of online writers like respected Titans beat reporter Paul Kuharsky who tweeted Monday his contract is not being renewed. "This could be a bloodbath," warned one source....

Stock-market indexes set a new round of records Wednesday as investors welcomed President Donald Trump’s tone during his address to a joint session of Congress. Some analysts suggested that the absence of protectionist comments as well as his overall tone that was perceived as “presidential” instilled confidence among investors, sending global equity markets higher. “The economy is doing well, as we can see from today’s inflation and manufacturing numbers and any additional stimulus will put it into even a higher gear, and stock markets like that,” said Mark Kepner, managing director of sales and trading at Themis Trading. If the...

A near-disaster in California probably wouldn’t be averted by the kind of privatized investment that the president has in mind. Tens of thousands of residents fled Oroville, California, on Sunday after water levels surged over a spillway at the Oroville Dam. Traffic jams reigned on highways leading north from Oroville, where officials ordered people to evacuate at 4:45 p.m. Oroville families, who made their way to the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds in Chico and other staging areas, face uncertainty in the coming days. By late Sunday night, water from Lake Oroville was no longer rushing over the top of the dam’s...

Appearing as a panel member on Thursday's Anderson Cooper 360, during a discussion of Muslim-Americans "self-radicalizing' and becoming terrorists, liberal CNN political commentator Van Jones at one point blamed Donald Trump for allegedly causing some to "self-radicalize." As conservative CNN political commentator Jack Kingston argued in favor of studies to help answer the question of why "lone wolf" terrorists "became radical," Jones jumped in to inject: "When people say stuff like Trump. Does everyone remember when ESPN was a sports network and not a left-wing social justice warrior network? In the video below, one ESPN commentator asks another about the Kaepernick controversy of this weekend when the player refused to stand for the national anthem. The second commentator immediately cites Donald Trump and his proposed temporary ban on Muslims from countries that sponsor terrorism as the reason. Then he even mentions Ferguson and the Black Lives Matter movement. Unreal! What does ANY of that have to do with this? Watch the video and turn it all the way up because the audio...

First off, police do not believe this was a “hate crime,” but Islamic supremacists never let the facts get in the way of exploiting a bogus narrative. Secondly, the shooter was a person of color. So much for the racism charges. But look at the NY Daily News headline: “That’s not what America is about,” said local resident Khairul Islam, 33. “We blame Donald Trump for this . . . Trump and his drama has created Islamophobia.” A high-ranking police source said the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force would investigate, but it was “too early to say” what the motive...

Some of the issues CNN chose to ignore include evidence of “Pay to Play” found in some of Hillary’s emails that weren’t turned over to the justice department. Instead CNN and the rest of the MSM decided to focus on

"The mob that came to disrupt the Trump rally in Chicago was neither spontaneous nor innocent, nor new. It was a mob that has been forming ever since the Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization in 1999, whose target was global capitalism. The Seattle rioters repeated their outrages for the next two years and then transformed itself into the so-called “anti-war” movement to save the Saddam dictatorship in Iraq. Same leaders, funders and troops. The enemy was always America and its Republican defenders. When Obama invaded countries and blew up families in Muslim countries, there was no anti-war movement...
