UNREAL!… IRS Shake Down of ‘True the Vote’ Involved Visits From FBI, OSHA and ATF – Who Checked Gun Safe (Video) Catherine Engelbrecht of True The Vote joined Governor Mike Huckabee to discuss the harassment and abuse she received from the Obama IRS since she applied for tax exempt status. Her group does not advocate for particular parties or candidates but just for fair elections at all levels. The group obviously is a huge threat to Barack Obama and Democrats. Engelbrecht reminded Governor Huckabee that in the last 18 months voter fraud cases have been prosecuted in 36 states. Engelbrecht...

Catherine Engelbrecht’s tale has all the markings of a classic conspiracy theory: She says she thinks that because of her peaceful political activity, she and her family was targeted for scrutiny by hostile federal agencies. Yet as news emerges that the Internal Revenue Service wielded its power to obstruct conservative groups, Catherine’s story becomes credible — and chilling. It also raises questions about whether other federal agencies have used their executive powers to target those deemed political enemies. Before the Engelbrecht family’s three-year ordeal began, Catherine says, “I had no real expectation or preparation for the blood sport that American...

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Last week, the IRS admitted it targeted groups with Tea Party or patriot in their name for extra scrutiny. The groups were applying for tax exempt status. True the Vote is one group based here in Houston. True the Vote was the subject of harsh critique during the election season for some of their polling place monitoring work. Critics said it was designed to hurt Democratic candidates. It may be one of the things the IRS was looking at to keep the group from being tax exempt. But after three years of intense IRS questioning and investigations...

May 7, 2013 - True the Vote (TTV), the nation's leading voters' rights organization, today announced its settlement with the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections regarding records inspection rights under federal law and the Florida Constitution. The agreement provides True the Vote access to all ballots, registrations, and other election related data necessary to conduct an audit of a federal election in Florida's 18th congressional district. The audit is unprecedented in that it will be led...

Voter integrity group True the Vote (TTV) filed a federal lawsuit Monday against St. Lucie County Florida Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker for failing to uphold election law and for failing to enforce record inspection rights under the National Voter Registration Act and the Florida Constitution. The lawsuit has been filed in light of the gross mishandling of the recount between Rep. Allen West and now Rep. Patrick Murphy by St. Lucie County election officials. "True the Vote's lawsuit will provide information kept from the public. It will allow for a public debate on exactly what happened, why it happened,...

A progressive foundation and a labor union have combined to pour millions of dollars into a “racial justice” group that was hostile to voter ID laws during the 2012 campaign season, according to a conservative watchdog group in Wisconsin. While True the Vote and other right-leaning campaigns were promoting ID requirements for voters and monitoring the implementation of ID laws at the state level, the Applied Research Center (ARC) was pushing back with claims that photo ID requirements at polling places were thinly veiled expressions of racism. Media Trackers, the conservative Wisconsin group, reported Monday that the W.K. Kellogg Foundation,...

True the Vote commented on allegations reported in the media that citizens they trained forged candidate placement signatures, preventing observer placement in Franklin County, Ohio. The Ohio Democratic Party claimed that a True the Vote volunteer, Jan Loar, forged candidate signatures to place poll watchers in Ohio. The Ohio Democratic Party pasted the words of a left-leaning blog in their November 5, 2012 press release.

HOUSTON, TX - The 2012 election will be the first in 30 years where the country will see a large organized presence dedicated to the integrity of votes cast, all thanks to voter integrity group True the Vote. During the 2008 election cycle, Catherine Engelbrecht volunteered at the polls in Harris County, the second largest voting block in Texas. She noticed that although she was there with a small group of people to observe, Harris County had a poll watcher shortage of at least 50 percent. There weren’t enough people observing the election process to prevent fraud. Shortly after her...

Voter integrity group True the Vote has issued a formal request to Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings asking him to retract defamatory statements he made about the Houston based group on national television and in writing. Not only has Cummings made false statements about the mission of True the Vote, he has also misled the public about the group's response to an October 4 request from Cummings for documents, a request he has no authority to enforce. An attorney representing True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht sent Cummings a letter late Tuesday afternoon. From the letter: Dear Rep. Cummings:I represent Catherine...

As I reported yesterday , Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee Elijah Cummings is using intimidation and bully tactics to threaten voter integrity group True the Vote. As I also mentioned, he isn't alone in his attacks. On October 10, AFL-CIO Florida attorney Alma Gonzales sent a letter to local True the Vote leader, private citizen and volunteer Kimberly Kelly, threatening legal action should the group continue their efforts to get voter rolls cleaned up and to train poll watchers for Election Day. Gonzales also accused the group of violating the rights of voters. "According to press reports, True...

Less than three weeks before the election, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) is demanding more documents from a conservative group that claims to be battling instances of voter fraud throughout the country. But Cummings contends the real goal of True the Vote is to stop legal voters — mostly in minority communities — from casting ballots, by deploying hundreds of thousands of volunteers to intimidate them. As the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Cummings also raised concerns in a letter on Thursday to Catherine Engelbrecht, True the Vote’s founder, about the group’s ties to the Republican...

Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee Elijah Cummings is harassing the voter integrity group True the Vote, which is led by President Catherine Engelbrecht. Cummings is asking the group to produce a number of documents by October 14 and sent a letter to Engelbrecht last week expressing his concern with the group's "illegimate voter registration challenges," or in other words, efforts to expose voter fraud. In order to examine why your organization appears to be responsible for so many illegitimate voter registration challenges, I request that you provide the following information and documents: (1) a list of all individual...

A national voter fraud watchdog group announced Tuesday that it has uncovered at least 31 cases of absentee ballot fraud in New York and Florida -- a finding the group claims is "just the tip of the iceberg." True the Vote, a group that focuses on voter fraud, said it turned over 31 cases to state and federal election authorities in which individuals cast their votes in two states in the same federal election -- which is a felony. Logan Churchwell, a spokesman for the group, told FoxNews.com that the organization accessed Florida's complete voter registration roll and cross-referenced it...

With the presidential election less than four months away, it's imperative that voters in November find the process as fair and accessible as possible. Several states have decided to enact the requirement of possessing a photo ID to help prevent the occurrence of voter fraud. Predictably, many on the Left are vocalizing their opposition to these measures, claiming that the elderly and minorities would not have the resources needed to acquire one, putting them at a distinct disadvantage. This debate was accelerated to a higher level when Emily Schultheis of Politico opined that young voters and minorities will be grossly...

In 2009, Catherine Engelbrecht of Houston volunteered to be a poll watcher. From that moment forward, her life changed. During her time as an election volunteer, she saw people come in with duplicate registrations and people coming into the polling place to vote only to find out someone else had already voted for them through the mail.  This, among other reasons, is why Engelbrecht founded True the Vote, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending voter fraud. True the Vote started with the intention of working locally, but quickly expanded to more than 35 states in just three short years. “When...

From Alan Vera of True the Vote: I majored in political science and minored in military science. I’ve served this country as an Army Airborne Ranger in special operations. In modern history there has never been a war settled by a single battle. In modern history there has never been a military force that won each and every single battle. In our own Revolutionary War the Patriot Heroes suffered nothing but defeat for the first year. Yet they won our freedom through perseverance and determination. Yesterday we lost a battle. It stings because we were betrayed by someone in...

April 21, 2012 John McCain, the 2008 Election, and Civil Unrest J. Christian Adams There is an interesting story about the 2008 election coming out of Wikileaks. Memos from Stratfor released by Wikileaks say that widespread voter fraud occurred in Ohio and that “black Dems were caught stuffing the ballot boxes in Philly.†The McCain campaign knew about the fraud but feared taking action because of the “possibility of domestic violence†if they challenged the results in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The memos say campaign staff urged candidate John McCain to act in court:“Staff felt they could get a federal injunction to...

There’s been much said lately about election integrity and voter identification laws. Both sides of the American political spectrum have raised concerns over polls and potential abuses in the American voting process. In fact, due to the serious voter registration irregularities identified by groups like True the Vote in Texas, along with the numerous voter fraud convictions across the nation involving workers from politically motivated groups like the failed organization ACORN, many states are pursuing photo identification as a means of addressing such assaults on election integrity. Texas, South Carolina, and Florida have all taken steps to mandate photo identification...

A new Pew Research study has some chilling news for those of us who are fighting to save America. Pews findings are as follows. It tells us one in every eight voter registrations is somehow defective and constitutes ample grounds to turn the named person away from the polls. Nationally there are over 1.8 million dead people still carried as eligible voters, and there are about 2.75 million people registered in two or more states. There are at least 51 million Americans who are eligible to vote but not registered. This leaves a huge poll of names for fraudulent registrants...
