Hamas thanked Vladimir Putin for his support for the “Palestinian cause” as the terror group released a Russian hostage from the Gaza Strip on Sunday afternoon. It said its release of a Russian citizen from the war-ravaged territory was made in appreciation of the position taken by Moscow’s position on the conflict with Israel. “In response to the efforts of Russian president Putin and in appreciation of the Russian position in support of the Palestinian cause, we released a detainee who holds Russian citizenship,” Hamas said.
  • Flashback: McCarthy Said Trump ‘Bears Responsibility’ For January 6

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has vowed to investigate the conduct of the partisan January 6 Congressional committee, though his past statements have led critics to question his commitment. In the immediate aftermath of the January 6 Capitol protests, McCarthy echoed leftist talking points by saying that then-President Trump “bears responsibility” for any violence that took place. Around that same time, McCarthy was caught on an audio recording saying that he would advise Trump to resign.“Let me be clear, last week’s violent attack on the Capitol was un-democratic, un-American, and criminal. Violence is never a legitimate form of protest…....

The CEO of Fox News sent a memo to staff on Tuesday including several updates to its COVID-19 protocol, one of which required employees to input their vaccination status. Back in June, the news outlet issued a memo encouraging fully vaccinated staff to include their vaccination status into Workday. The memo noted at the time that employees who might be vaccinated but had not provided that information to the company would be considered unvaccinated under their policies.
  • Will FreeRepublic Finally Stop Posts Equating Guilt or Innocence with (Females') Looks???

    11/11/2014 12:44:00 AM PST · by Secret Agent Man · 636 replies
The Cranberries prior posting about the gal singer who assaulted the flight attendant and cop was the last stupid straw about posting about guilt based on looks. (Note I am not a big Cranberries fan, I have no dog in this particular hunt - it's just an example.) I am not against posts that discuss a person's looks per se. Particularly if it factors into the issue being discussed. If it's relevant, it's relevant. What I am objecting to are the stupid inane posts that add nothing of value to the thread and detract from the reputation of this site...

H/T danielvitoA C4P commenter hit the nail on the head today. I decided to post his comment here, because it's exactly how I feel. Question to any Perry supporter! Name one foriegn policy position, 1.9 has. For example, is he for waterboarding, does he want to stay in Iraq/Aghanistan, Does he want to stay in Libyia, what's his position on China/India/Russia, does he want to continue to fund Nato/United Nation, what's his position on Iran, if they get a nucluer bomb, Israel/Palestine problem. Does he want to continue to import oil from abroad, does he want to continue to bail...
  • Justices turn aside another challenge over Obama's citizenship

The Supreme Court has again cast aside an appeal that raised doubts about President Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship, a grass-roots legal issue that has gained little legal or political footing, but continues to persist in the courts. The justices without comment Monday rejected a challenge from Charles Kerchner Jr., a Pennsylvania man who sought a trial in federal court forcing the president to produce documents regarding his birth and citizenship. Kerchner's attorney, Mario Apuzzo, had argued in a petition with the Supreme Court that Obama did not fit the definition of a "natural-born citizen" required for the nation's highest office,...
  • Asia Bibi, Christian mother-of-five, given Blasphemy Death Sentence!

A PAKISTANI court has sentenced to death a Christian mother-of-five for blasphemy, the first such conviction of a woman and sparking protests from rights groups overnight. Asia Bibi, 45, was sentenced on Tuesday by a local court in Nankana district in Pakistan's central province Punjab, about 75km west of the country's cultural capital of Lahore. Pakistan has yet to execute anyone for blasphemy, but the case spotlights the Muslim country's controversial laws on the subject which rights activists say encourages Islamist extremism in a nation wracked by Taliban attacks. Asia's case dates back to June 2009 when she was asked...

  • Barack Hussein Obama,The Godfather Of Shame.

    09/09/2010 6:36:41 PM PDT · by Armaggedon · 11 replies
Barack Hussein Obama rules America by manipulating a deep seated shame pattern in all people. Those who let themselves be cast into the image of victims or villains, are fair game for Obama the deceiver. Obama pits class against class, race against race, religion against religion, party against party. Obama is the great divider and his hate, lies and heavy handed tyranny will destroy America unless we wake up. Some people are fed up with Obama's never ending, race baiting and hate filled slander hurled against all who oppose him.. Obama's America is so full of shame that we shake...
  • If Ron Paul changed his stance on foreign policy would you vote for him in 2012?

I know not a lot of people on free republic like Dr. Paul because of his stance on foreign policy. I want to ask: if he changed his foreign policy and supported finishing the war on terror and stood behind Israel 100% would you vote for him in 2012? What other candidate wants to bring America back to the constitution and end the FED?

I am sick and tired of this site being taken over by Catholics ( of which I am one ) stories or proverbs. This is a news site not a religion site. Go do that somewhere else. I am not opposed to your prostilazion(sp), just not here. We lose credibility if any religious group dictates or can be quoted from this site. As a long term member of this site I regret posting this information, but the site has been buried in Catholic stuff recently and it should be shunted to some separate page.

The largest known giver to a controversial charity founded by U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum made its $25,000 donation as the senator was working to win as much as $8.5 million in federal aid for the donor’s project in the Philadelphia suburbs. Federal tax records show that Preferred Real Estate Inc., the developer of the Wharf at Rivertown project in Chester, Pa., wrote the check to Santorum’s Operation Good Neighbor Foundation in 2002. On his campaign Web site, Santorum boasts of winning $8.5 million in federal aid for the riverfront redevelopment of an abandoned Peco Energy plant — an effort that...

NEW ORLEANS - (KRT) - Ghastly new evidence of Hurricane Katrina's horror emerged Monday night when a sheriff reported the recovery of 22 bodies lashed together around a pole - a desperate, futile attempt to survive the storm. Sheriff Jack Stephens of St. Bernard Parish, just east of New Orleans, said rescuers found the bodies tied with rope and wrapped around a pole in the tiny village of Violet along the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. The bodies were found soon after the storm in a flooded area of the village but still haven't been identified, he said. He...

I am a newcomer to this posting board, but was directed to the site by a friend after my first experience with the North Texas “Protest Warriors” this past week. I was one of the volunteers at the Dallas City Hall exposition of “Eyes Wide Open,” where they made a noisy appearance. The “Eyes Wide Open” exhibit laid out a pair of combat boots in memory of every fallen American soldier in Iraq, as well as shoes to represent Iraqi civilian casualties. By the time the memorial left Dallas there were 1,499 pairs of boots on display, and the 1,000...

I just was flipping through the channels and came across room raiders on MTV. I watch it sometimes and it can be entertaining. However, tonight I was uterly disgusted to see an actual gay segment of the program. There were three gay guys who had their rooms raided by another guy. Listen, I am not homophobic. I have no problem with gay people if they keep what they to the privacy of their home. I do have a problem with those gays that try to redefine marriage or in this case push their lifestyle in the public sphere. MTV is...
