Hi, I am the Founder of the Reed College Freethinkers, a college atheist, agnostic, humanist, liberal Christian, and Separation of Church and State group, based in Portland, Oregon. We noticed that the majority of freethinkers are liberals, or at least those who seem to speak out tend to be left-of-center. While I consider myself to be a moderate, I was wondering if anyone knows of any prominent (or fairly prominent) conservatives/Republicans who also espouse some brand of freethought? WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Bush has condemned an experiment in racial tolerance devised by a sociology professor at Maclean College in Richmond, Indiana. The experiment, an "Intercultural Exploration of Racial Sensitivity by Means of Role Reversal," is more popularly known on the Maclean campus as "Stick It to Whitey Days." It will begin on September 12 and extend through Columbus Day.

I'm exercising my right to free speech. I hope movie theater owners won't validate Moore's so-called "film" by showing it in their theaters. Michael Moore should be deported to a terrorist country (or at least to FRANCE - the country of our good buddies-NOT!!!) It's so easy for him to spew his particular brand of the truth while living his cushy Hollywood lifestyle!

Okay, I've been lurking here for 2 years and finally read something today that made we want to write. First of all, I'm a life long Republican of the Conservative branch. And Bush blew it on the WOT. Sept. 12th he should of declared war on Iran and Pakistan, forget about Iraq. Iran and Pakistan are the ones that came to our country and MURDERED 3,000 of us. Not Iraq, Not North Korea, Not Syria.
