    Fox News ^ | 07/03/2023 | Greg Norman
The U.S. State Department has issued a fresh travel warning advising Americans against heading to China over selective enforcement of local laws and the "risk of wrongful detentions." The warning comes nearly two months after China sentenced a 78-year-old U.S. citizen to life in prison over spying charges. "The People’s Republic of China (PRC) government arbitrarily enforces local laws, including issuing exit bans on U.S. citizens and citizens of other countries, without fair and transparent process under the law," the State Department says.

Kristin Davison, a political adviser to the governor, confirmed to The Hill that he will be traveling to Georgia, Kansas, Nevada, Oregon and New Mexico, where he’s seeking to hold rallies with the GOP gubernatorial candidate in each state.

The United States Supreme Court has defended and restored the bear half of the right to keep and bear arms, in the recent Bruen decision. Much work remains to be done. It is clear that the people have a right to bear arms outside the home. One of the major purposes is for the defense of self and others. An area left undefined in Bruen is the right to bear arms in defense of self and others while traveling, particularly while traveling across state lines. There was no prohibition on carrying arms at the time of ratification in 1791. Carrying arms for...

Expandable campers have really been pushing above and beyond simple pop-tops into more advanced forms, like transforming Cybertruck A-frames, stretchable off-road teardrops, and flip-open truck-top tents. Germany's ICC Offroad played a big role in the rotating Flip90 pickup camper, and it also has another expanding camper design in the pipeline. Its FlexCamp prototype is designed to start the journey as a basic trailer or pickup-top box, expanding up and out at camp to become a cozy micro-cabin for a family of four. ICC Offroad is developing the FlexCamp to meet the demand for a compact, four-season, off-road-ready camping solution. With...

One of the House Democrats alongside Vice President Kamala Harris on her visit to the “border” — which was actually hundreds of miles from the epicenter of the migrant crisis — gleefully referred to the Texas area they were touring Friday as “the new Ellis Island.” The eyebrow-raising moment came courtesy of Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas), an ally of President Biden who represents El Paso and was part of Harris’ trip delegation.

With the state and country’s COVID-19 surge worsening, Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine on Tuesday said four new “targeted and strategic” state orders will begin Friday in an attempt to lower the number of new cases and prevent the health care system from becoming overwhelmed. The four new orders are: ● Masks must be worn whenever a person is away from home. That includes outdoors if a person cannot be socially distant — 6 feet away — from other people. But the order applies in every situation indoors, whether a person can stay socially distant or not, and...

Members of the extremist Antifa network are flying around the country and participating in riots, Attorney General William Barr said in a new interview. “I’ve talked to every police chief in every city where there has been major violence and they all have identified Antifa as the ramrod for the violence,” Barr said in an appearance this week on CNN’s “Situation Room.” “They are flying around the country. We know people who are flying around the country. We know where they’re going.”

IDF Spokesperson Brig.-Gen Avi Benayahu on Monday said he traveled to the United Kingdom on a false name over fears of being arrested for alleged war crimes, in an interview with Defense News. "In my last visit to London, I had to assume a false name because well-funded anti-Israel activists are exploiting universal jurisdiction powers to wage lawfare against us," Benayahu explained. "It's absurd, and I understand the government is trying to legislate changes to prevent this." Benayahu said that, "The British and other European governments are just as concerned as we are about terror, and leaders are realizing that...

Rarely are currency exchange rates as good for the American dollar as that of Asian countries. In Asia, the American dollar carries a lot of clout and with the recent devaluation of the USD; it is a good thing that these countries offer an excellent trip for so little cost to Americans.

Belgrade, city of very tumultuous history, one of the oldest in Europe. Its history has lasted for 7000 years. The area around the large rivers was inhabited in the Paleolithic period. From the older stone age, came the remains of human bones and skulls of Neanderthals, found in a quarry near Leštane, in a cave in the vicinity of the Cukarica Bajloni market. Remains of late Stone Age culture were found in Vinca, Zarkovo and Upper Town, above the confluence of the Sava and Danube. This indicates that the area of Belgrade has been continually inhabited and that the intensity...

Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums is showing no signs of grounding his high-flying spending practices - running up nearly $60,000 on his city credit card in a one-year stretch for airline flights, restaurant meals, conference fees and stays at some of the toniest hotels in the nation. That works out to more than $1,000 a week that Oakland's taxpayers shelled out from September 2008 to September 2009 to keep Dellums traveling in style. The mayor ran up nearly every dime of his $59,079 in expenses after the City Council ordered employees in fall 2008 to halt all unnecessary travel to help...

Danes have always loved the US as a travel destination. But with the dollar at its lowest point in 30 years, residents are now gobbling up the many discount offers being pitched by the nation's travel companies. Several travel bureaus are reporting increases of up to 140 percent on sales of trips to the states, where Danes can feel like wealthy plantation barons. In the past two years, the dollar has fallen from a value of 6.4 kroner to a shocking 4.8 kroner today - its lowest point since 1977. Weekend trips to New York City have been a hot...

The Texas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union is unhappy about last Thursday's column concerning the state's new gun-toting law. I know this because of an e-mail exchange I had with chapter spokesman Scott Henson, who chided: —"Your interpretation of House Bill 823 relies on an analysis by a handful of prosecutors who opposed the law, but not the bill language itself." —"It's true that some prosecutors are telling police to keep arresting people ... but they are raising a red herring. The law is really not unclear." —"The lawmakers wanted drivers to be able to have a stowed...

GOV. ARNOLD Schwarzenegger is making a high-profile trade trip to China this week. It's supposed to benefit you and me by opening up Chinese markets for California goods. But the guest list is a dead giveaway: Of the 80 businessmen, government officials and others accompanying the governor, about two dozen are big-bucks Schwarzenegger supporters who have together contributed more than $2.5 million to his campaign committees. For many of these Schwarzenegger donors, this China junket is more likely to help their own companies than California. And in some cases, that might actually do the rest of us harm. Consider venture...
